Performance Notes
This was not broadcasted on TV, but was leaked, most likely by an employee. Both songs that were performed two days later on SNL were played. Heart-Shaped Box was played twice and Rape Me only once fully. Kurt starts playing Rape Me the first time only to be stopped by Krist and Pat who, I speculate, thought they would be playing Heart-Shaped Box again and were still in drop D tuning. There is a lot of down time between songs where you can hear Kurt play a couple of riffs such as Scentless Apprentice, Love Buzz, and All Apologies.
Remixing Notes
The overall performance was too quiet so I boosted the overall volume. I also increased the guitars and boosted the bass a tiny bit. I also slightly increased the snare and kick of drums. Lastly, I evened out the volume of vocal performance as it was too loud in some parts and too quiet in others. During the time between songs I decreased, but could not completely remove, the buzz from the open mics.

I read a while ago that after this show Kurt was furious about the bad sound he had especially his out of tune guitar and he fired "Craig montgomery" his sound engineer since the "Bleach" era is there after this show in ahead, "Big John Duncan" joins the team to take charge of the guitar and sound.

The guitar/amp does sound plinky here, but Kurt's mediocre performance of HSB on SNL was his own doing. He flubbed up the intro and it was downhill from there.
Better version of HSB than the live broadcast.
Thes are great! They are just amazing! The energy/power is incredible. Wish i could have Seen them live.

Also I like Kurt on the right side of the stage, so the guitar necks point toward each other. And the curve on the offset of most of his guitars rounds out the stage. Everything frames Dave better. Personal opinion and not that important.
