It looks like how it did on the CRT Tv’s. Thats so sweet. I bought one of these adapters a while back but never even opened the box. Makes me want to dust off my wii now.

Why don’t you do a test without the retro tink? I’m truly curious to see what you think of this without it. I have one of the same things and I wasn’t too impressed with it but I’d truly like to see what you get without the upscaler

What happens when you change it to a regular screen to a wide screen?

I have the Hyperkin Wii HDMi cables. I used to have this dungle, but it was giving me signal noise on my TV. I use the Hyperkin Wii HDMi cable with my Mclassic to the get the most out of the Wii.

@Squid I like playing on the big screen, though. I never use the 4:3 aspect ratio. I know many retro gamers hate when people stretch games, but it has never bothered me. I couldn't go back to a CRT. But the Hyperkin HDMI cable already gives a clear signal. My Samsung Q8FN accepts every resolution from 240i/p up to 4k. So i personally do not have any issues retro gaming on this TV in particular.

Judging by the quality. it looks pretty good! sure it might not look as good as component but if you want this, go for it!

How in the actual heck did it work for you? I plugged it in, did everything like you did, turned it on but my Wii immediately shuts off and the red light that usually shows is no longer appearing. Did I just get a faulty one or what.

I got one years ago and had the same issue. Took me a bit to figure out it was this (or one like it) adapter.

It is better the mayflash hdmi?

Wii U has HDMI, so I just use the Virtual WII option. - (not to mention a decent homebrew community for the Wii U). The Wii U has been getting some buzz in 2022 and with the eShop closure announcement, we are going to see prices start to bump up for Wii U- Grab one before the prices hike up like the PS TV has. ( missed that one myself).

Mine says Wii2HDMI and that’s all. Works ok, no noise or anything. Handy as my main monitor has no analogue ports, only HDMI and DVI ports.

Mine only works for about an hour then signal cuts out mid gameplay

When I click on the downloaded games it crashes

Portholic or mayflash?

if u could do a vid on the fastest easiest best way to jailbreak a wii that would be nice.

Hey dude. Its actually really easy to do. The way I did it was called “letterbomb” you dont need a computer or anything. Hope this helps!
