I don't think odyssey will get a sequel just because the only Mario game to have a sequel was Mario Galaxy

The fact that we never got Odyssey 2 gives me hope that we'll get it as launch title with switch 2? I would be pumped and forced to get the system day 1

@@cappy2282 yeah i honestly can't express how dire the situation is. i want the next 3d mario experience! dlc for odyssey or a sequel may have been perfect to explore the unpacked potential during the switches life. but it's been so long now to where i want them to wow me with a brand new experience. specially nothing iterative like tears of the kingdom.

That would be cool! Only issue is Nintendo uses a hyphen and letter for remakes. It would be SPRed-O for Switch 2 or SPRed-S for Switch. It could be a new Super Paper Mario though

Good video, but overly dependent on Midori and Pyoro for information. There are other leakers who have credible info and would have allowed you to connect more dots. The "touched but not seen" thing is corroborated by an earlier leak claiming that Spanish developers have interacted with the Switch 2 through a closed box. They could use it but could not see it. Presumably there is something related to the joycons or control scheme that Nintendo is trying to keep from leaking. You glossed over details of the shipment data. The supposed measurements of the Switch 2 are 206mm w x 115mm h x 14mm d, with an 8 inch LED (not OLED) display. Additionally, the use of UFS 3.1 for storage indicates some nod toward high bandwidth caching for third party game ports from PS5 and XSX, both platforms that heavily depend on custom storage architectures for performance. Linus from LTT famously got burned when he dismissed the PS5's storage architecture as just reading an M.2 SSD. You didn't mention the leaks of Switch 2 being physically compatible with existing Switch game carts. The rumor of the Switch 2's joycons or joycon equivalents using electromagnets possibly makes sense if there is some change to the way the Switch 2 docks or interacts with a dock. And yes there are leaks that the Switch 2's dock has some role to play in improving graphical quality when outputting to a TV. Lastly, you didn't cover the DLSS 3.1 vs DLSS 3.5 vs DLSS 3.x leaks. The BOTW tech demo was supposedly put together to demonstrate DLSS 3.5 running on Switch 2, and then contradictory leaks claimed it was only running DLSS 3.1. Nvidia has just put out DLSS 3.7 as a software upgrade, so if the Switch 2 can run DLSS 3.1 or 3.5 it could run 3.7. There's a lot to unpack here.

Maybe like the switch 2 controls are magnetically assisted but the rail system works fine fully magnetic is crazy

It would be really nice if they would use external GPU technology in the dock similar to some laptops so we can get 4K resolution and/or a reasonable frame rate when plugged into a TV. Then off the dock, it can switch to the SoC graphics and render at 720p or 1080p native. I'd 100% pay $349-399 for a Switch with a GPU similar to an RTX 3060 in the dock. Get a Thunderbolt license, Nintendo! Also, add analog triggers to the next pro controller.

It’s natural progression that they will bring DS & 3DS onto NSO. If so, the Switch2 will need to include hardware features such as mic & cameras. For the dual screen, they will let you attached the new joy-cons to a portrait oriented screen so it will display two screens one on top of another. To put Wii on NSO, they will include a speaker on the new joy-cons. Also, they always include an additional gimmick for each new system, so this time it will be a head strap which you can insert the Switch2 into and turn it into a VR & AR headset - switch from TV to VR! (The Labo VR was a test) That’s why they have reserved Metroid 4 for Switch2 coz a FPS is perfect for VR. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was so good already so they would put the next Mario Kart in VR to create an entirely new game play experience. This is my educated guess based on the business and marketing style of Nintendo.

I’m just now thinking about getting a switch. Is it even worth it? I feel a new one will be way more and there seems to have plenty of games, am I correct?

I wouldnt recommend as i was really disappointed in the switch, ecspecially with animal crossing like they straight up abandoned the game and never updated it or tried to improve it when so many people complained about it. The games are all 50 dollars and its just such a waste of money. I just bought detective pikachu 2 for the switch like a month ago and it just feels like im playing a child's game that is so predictable and the cutscene graphics could be a LOT better i mean its literally like playstation 2 graphics which is pretty bad

Also the joycons on my switch don't even stay clicked onto it anymore and I rarely undock it to use it on the tv ...so when im using it handheld the stupid things are always being pushed up by my hands now. Things just a piece of shit tbh

Switch will be available and still receive support after Switch 2's launch. It has the largest active user base of any console. Yes, it's worth it -- unless you believe Switch 2 will be backwards compatible and you can wait another year.

Subnautica 2 is coming to switch 2, dev's said below zero was just more an expansion to Subnautica in their eyes. Subnautica 2 even seems to be lining its release date with the switch 2's, they are at least coming out in the same window. I don't think its gonna be an exclusive but a nice big 3rd party multi platform launch to go along side the system. Nintendo might scoop it up as a 3rd party console exclusive, that's probably a stretch... It is for sure coming out around the same 4 month window tho, so who knows Nintendo might see it as a great title to snatch up for themselves, seems on brand, the first game did well ported to Switch, and they do need a few 3rd parties in their pocket. Regardless of it being exclusive or not, I'm 100% picking it up for Switch 2.

Yeah, like maybe this time it could be the first ever dual screen system that could be played as a home system as well.

If SilverStar and SPRed are 2 completely different things then my guess is that one is 3D Mario and the other is Mario Kart

So Mario odyssey 2 eventually comes out with the new switch. I bought the oled in March, I can't buy another one

I just hope it works 100% offline. Because a lot of people still don't have a stable internet connection .

And as for the Switch 2, there is no official codename yet, I personally don't think the Switch 2 will take longer than the og Switch to make due to the fact that they will use a similar technology to the og Switch to make the Switch 2, but I still think it's gonna take longer than most people expect.
