If all countries did a loot box law, then video game companies would have to adapt. A tiny little European nation like Belgium won't really make much of an impact. But if all of North America and the EU passed similar laws, I'm pretty sure loot boxes will be a thing of the past.

TheFlannelFox Haha! I know I’m in the minority but it’s mainly because I’ve never played a Diablo game so this is my opportunity. Of course, I’ll prob get the one on the switch but not anytime soon.

Oh loot boxes. I'll save my diatribe for an in depth convo after I move back. Having an 8 y/o I see the psychological effect it is having not on the gambling side, again I have thoughts, but the conditioning of the minds. Learning to accept the practice of half baked games for monitization. Less we forget the outrage that was horse armor in elder Scrolls. Now that seems pedestrian as it truly was cosmetic and the argument is being made that they should be cosmetic, so the mindset has been changed by the predation of the market. So Im all in on Belgium

Yeah Im not sure I’ll be playing Diablo Immortal even though I loooove Diablo. I was very pissed when I heard this news. I too don’t want to play it on my touch screen phone especially because mobile games come with micro transactions.
