One based on Wario Land 2/3 would be best, but at this point, I just want a Wario Land.

For clarification, Toys for Bob is not shutting down. Their offices are closed, but they're essentially becoming a fully remote studio. Back in 2023, Activision was mandating employees to return to office, but since the Microsoft merger, the decision was reversed in favor of cheaper options like remote work, outsourcing, etc.

Why is it that the actually good franchises (Crash, Spyro, F-Zero, Star Fox, Mega Man, Donkey Kong Country, Wario Land) get overshadowed by the more popular ones (Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, Sonic, Kirby, Animal Crossing, Yoshi’s Island, Pikmin*)? Doesn’t Nintendo know how much money they’d make reintroducing these franchises to a newer audience, or even adding a new entry to the franchises that everyone actually wants?! (*Pikmin, a GameCube original series, was shockingly rescued and is back into relevancy, especially since the first two games are available to play again. Also, I know the last Yoshi game was Crafted World, but Yoshi is still a fairly used character, so he’s not entirely forgotten.) Also, when is Waluigi going to get his own starring role?

Yes, I heard there was rumors for Nintendo Direct this month, but it’s turns Nintendo didn’t make an official announcement for their their next Nintendo Direct for this month in February.

If I'm being honest I'm a bit disappointed that it's not a regular Direct. Unpopular opinion, but something I was hoping for was a new title in the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series, since y'know, it's the year of the Paris 2024 Olympics. However, considering that the series has already skipped out on both the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics (though in the former's case, it's because Ubisoft acquired the rights to make video games for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games before Sega could), I'm admittedly not holding out too much hope for the series...

Or is JaxTheEpic implying that the sequel to the remake of the first game, will not be the remake to the sequel of the first game? That doesn't make sense. They wouldn't have a separate sequel to the remake, that wasn't also a remake of the sequel. Otherwise, that'd be like the GBA remake of Donkey Kong Country's sequel being a different Donkey Kong Country 2, that wasn't a remake of Donkey Kong Country 2. Therefore, the sequel to the Switch remake of Mario vs Donkey Kong should also therefore also be a remake of the original sequel, Mario vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, not a _separate_ game also called "Mario vs Donkey Kong 2".

Hey demeech, i know it was from pyoro, but please dont be one of those guys that have been saying everythings confirmed even though its not officially.. Switch force, one of the old switch coverage channels, has been doing this daily for the past 2 years, and i actively began ignoring them at a point. Were gonna watch any coverage you give, you dont have to bait us.

About Donkey Kong, I really miss him. I wish after the exciting Super Mario vs Donkey Kong game there could come some or even many more 3D action Donkey Kong games after Donkey Kong 64. They had such an awesome adventure that one time. I wish it was NOT true only if it is true DK64 will be the only 3D Donkey Kong game forever and ever no matter what.

If we get a regular Direct, I will be happy. If we get a mini Direct, I will be happy. If we get a Partner Showcase, I will be happy. If we get an Indie World, my day will be ruined!

2024 seems as though it's going to be a quieter year tbh. Most of the big IPs have had a major release in 2023, and Mario has 3 known games to release. Only exception without a "big" release in 2023 i can think of is metroid, kirby is unlikely too

Lately, I've been caring less about getting new Nintendo Directs. Sure, it's cool to see them, but I have such a huge variety of games to enjoy. 2023 was a baller year, but I have yet to get any new games. The only ones currently on my radar are Super Mario Bros. Wonder and TTYD. I know that TTYD doesn't have a date confirmed yet, but maybe I can get these two on a Game Voucher deal. Earlier this week, I joked that if Nintendo didn't have a Direct soon, I would "play some other Mario games and enjoy the Mushroom Kingdom!". With that in mind, I can go back to the 3DS and Wii U and enjoy its treasure trove of fun times. I'm not sure if I'm making any sense with my thoughts, Demeech, but the long and short of it is that while I would _like_ some new Nintendo first-party announcements, I'm not dying to hear anything soon. I have enough games to keep me happy. Good video.

Not going to get my hopes up. But the wait for some of Nintendo's upcoming games is just agonizing. I'm not even craving a Switch 2 reveal, I just want news on TTYD and Dark Moon. And what else Nintendo has in the pipeline for this year. But if there were some third party games I'd want to see, I want to see a new Rayman game! Come on, Ubisoft, it's been a decade since Legends, I'm dying for something new from my limbless protagonist!

Well were also getting either 1 or 2 mainline Pokemon titles revealed this year in the Pokemon Presents on Pokemon Day for the Switch and likely a couple of spin-offs too.

You say you are expecting the unexpected and you're expecting more big things for the Switch later this year. But what if you're expecting it too much and then the unexpected happens when the successor to the Switch gets announced later this year? I know you've made a bet and are desperate to not lose, but this doesn't completely rule out the possibility of an announcement later down the line. I'm not saying it's guaranteed to release or even be announced this year, I'm just saying sometimes when you expect the unexpected too much, the expected becomes the unexpected, and if what was previously expected starts happening, then it will still come off as unexpected and may lead to disappointment.

Pyoro confirmed that Penny’s Big Breakaway is getting a new trailer and release date, and that was one of the only potential reasons I was looking forward to a partner showcase. I hope we get Hi Fi Rush on switch but I think it’s way too soon for that

It’s important to note that Pyoro liked the tweet that stated the Partner Showcase was rescheduled due to the Xbox announcement, indicating that is what actually happened. Pyoro only likes certain tweets that he knows are true or will happen. A Switch 2 March reveal is on the table.

I hope that Xenosaga gets brought back from the dead with a trilogy like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. The success of Xenoblade Chronicles + KOS-MOS and T-ELOS having guest star appearances in XC2 shows that people still care about the series. However, this direct partner showcase most likely just be shovelware licensed games akin to Skull Island: Rise of Kong, Switch ports of games that have been out for months already on PC and Xbox such as DIablo IV, and updates for third-party games that have already been announced such as The Bogged mob for Minecraft 1.21.

Well I'd be shocked if it doesn't come at first I didn't want to believe it but a source from another KZreadr says otherwise because every year 2019 and up there is Always a direct in Feb so given this in mind, if that's being the case my best guess is if were not getting one now then it's for sure were getting one in late Feb (shocked if they go beyond it at this rate😬)

I'm just hoping for Hollow Knight Silksong news, but it feels unlikely.

I hope there really is a direct. After all this will be the 3rd week coming up that people are expecting one based off of the years past. Then again though, last year's February direct was pretty bad in my opinion because it mostly only announced a few games that were coming at most, which were a Kirby, Zelda, Pikmin and Splatoon 3 DLC, and all third party games. I hope that this year that wont happen and that's why they're postponing it but it's anyone's guess until the thing actually comes out. Apart from paper mario ttyd release date there isn't much we don't already know about. So at this point it's just a waiting game to see the next lineup of creations to come to light.

apparently pyoro has access to the most of the console store web databases, which is why he knows this stuff and didn't leak princess peach showtime and luigis mansion 2 hd back in june, i think this is pretty credible since he did leak sonic superstars and armored core six before they were announced, this would also explain how he only leaked stuff when they're about a week away from an announcement
