I honestly thought that this was a trailer where they introduce cross-over characters for Mario Kart 8. Still think it would be cool to have Captain Falcon, Kirby, or Sonic in a future Mario Kart game.

Rosalina looks like she's gonna be pretty boss if you master her Pikmin/Olimar/Ice Climbers-like moveset. I'm pretty stoked on her.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think the environmental lighting in Mario Kart 8 look fantastic? I'm so happy to finally be getting HD Nintendo tittles.

That new Zelda game for Wii U looked incredible... Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. trailers were awesome too. I love Nintendo, haters gonna hate. They are just missing out ^_^

Nintendo is the only one of the "big 3" who cares about giving their customers actual value for their money!!! Free DLC, Free 24 hour Trials, and games that don't require microtransactions! These is the kind of things that keep me supporting Nintendo!!!

Do some research before making comments. What about Sony? You get Free DLC(LBP,Soul sacrifice), Free game trials, Free to play games and the fantastic value for money PS Plus. Every month you get games for your PS3, PS Vita & PS4 to download. These is the kind of things that keep me supporting Sony.

I haven't smiled this much at a Nintendo Direct in a long while. Spring of 2014, heck, 2014 itself, is going to be quite a fantastic year to be a Nintendo gamer.^_^

Rosalina must have saved Nintendo or something cause she has been getting WAY more respect than Daisy.

Tylerburrito Daisy's first appearance was in Super Mario Land (1989), where she was an important character in the story of that game!

It's awesome that Rosalina's in the next smash, but goddamit they got my hopes up for an air ride sequel

Hyrule Warriors looks stunning!

I have a feeling that all of these Rosalina cameos are all leading up to something (Super Mario Galaxy 3)

Seeing that Rosalina reveal trailer, I thought maybe Kirby was a special guest for Mario Kart 8!

Not sure why some people are getting mad about Hyrule Warriors. Iwata just said that it's not the next installment in the series, but a spinoff. It's obvious they are working on a the next installment, they just haven't it showed it off yet. I'm happy with what I can get. The game looks interesting, hoping it's some sort of co-op play or something.

The Rosalina reveal was a total troll from Sakurai. First he tells you it's Kirby Air Rider, then hey, Mario Kart. Then out of nowhere, bam, new character. Well done Sakurai, well done.

One thing I do admire in particular about Mr. Iwata and Mr. Fils-Aime giving the Nintendo Direct presentations themselves is that it shows that these company presidents are actually up and in the know about their own products and aren't afraid to stand behind their offering themselves. Not a common trait among company presidents much at all these days.

Man, nobody does DLC (or ensures quality DLC from other companies) like Nintendo!

YOOOOOOOOOO! MAJOR tease Nintendo!! I done thought Kirby was gonna be in MK8, a Kirby Airride 2 or SSB was gonna have like a Kart mode! But it was Rosalina was added. Which is cool! But GAAAAAH I almost had a gamer-gasm! No KIDDING. I was almost CRYING tears of joy!!!!!

This was an amazing Nintendo Direct! I was smiling the whole way through getting even more excited about finally owning a Wii U this Christmas and discovering the awesome surprises that Nintendo's next gen system had in store. Good show! Also I'm glad to see Chibi Robo finally making a come back.

HiIm Bob **personal preference** There's only been two Luigi's Mansion games, and they can greatly expand on that with Wii U. And remember, this is my personal opinion, but I believe that it's time to see a new Mario game. Every Mario platforming game since 2007 has been a sequel (with the exception of 3D Land).

Sir you have a good point but their has only been one Super Mario Sunshine game, and I would rather have a new Super Mario Sunshine game than a new Luigi's Mansion game, and that my good sir is my own personal preference.

I'm still kinda mad Luigi didn't save Daisy in New Super Luigi U. Daisy needs to be in another Main Mario game. Super Luigi Land or New Super Mario Land, please? Nintendo?

KirbyAirRide Squeal?!? NintendoAllStarRacing?!?!?!? Oh, SuperSmashBros... Still pretty dang awesome. Kinda got my hopes up for AirRide, But still really really GLaD to see a SmashBros. update.

Mario kart 8 coming out on May 2014

When you see the January direct and then this one, you can notice how iwata is much more exiting in this one.

When I saw the trailer for Smash Bros., I thought we were getting a new Kirby's Air Ride game!

My body is ready.

I thought that Kirby was joining Mario Kart 8. Which got me thinking... wouldn't it be cool if there was a Super Smash Bros Kart?! ... No? Okay...

A new Yoshi! I'd love a remake or Yoshi Story 64. That Robo game actually looks like a LOT of fun, and of course, I'm getting that Link/Dynasty Warriors hybrid game, hands down.

I thought that was a trailer for Mario Kart 8, but Super Smash Bros was not expected.

The first trailer already had me hooked into this Direct. :D

Exactly what I'm talking about when I say Nintendo dominates every time.

Another year without Star Fox...SIGH...

First they reveal Hyrule Warriors. Then they announce free Celebis'. Then they announce Rosalina and that Toon Link is returning in Smash. Then they show us lots of gameplay from MKWiiU. Man... 2014 is going to be good!

Nintendo you are the best gaming company in the world but there is a lot of people that still don't know what the WIIU is, you promotional team needs to do a lot of work thanks for making the best quality games without drugs and human killing thank you nintendo you are the best

Ainsley Harriot it isn't announced yet but it is announced the day before the direct happens and what time.... it usually starts pretty earl like a 6:30 or 7:30 You can also look on Nintendo Facebook page to see when the direct will happen.
