I like it! They are actually showing basics and advanced basics, so it looks like Cha Cha. There's rhythmic interpretation and they're dancing WITH each other. Nice style, I hope more world class couples start dancing like this. It looks like dancing, not athletics as with some uprising amateur couples.

James S. Are you meaning to say that all that time and effort in grooming and the thousands of dollars worth of costuming is just for sport and not to appeal to an audience? If that's the case why bother inviting the public along to pay good money and spectate if its not for their entertainment or benefit. Me doesn't agree with this notion. your right though it is a sport but its not just sport, its also a performing art form too.

James s. All I can say is that this so called sport has been on the decline in many countries around the world since the eighties. It struggles to compete for the paying publics dollar and without the paying public guess what? there is no dancesport because they wont be able to afford to run these competition events. To disregard the importance of the public viewing audience is suicide for any sport. I have been involved in dancesport for 4 decades and I've seen the change and the decline.

Lots of energy and so powerful! Also very beautiful! My favorite couple beside Ina and Troles !

The improvement is so evident and if this was being Judged on a Latin look they would win for sure I think. The best authentic Latino looking couple out there. If one wants to remain true to the Latin Style one should pay more importance to the look because Latin Dance has little to do with elegance and grace and everything to do with charisma, confidence and style and that's what they bring to the table big time. Best wishes for a great years results.

I don't know... there is something making me uncomfortable about Nino's moves and expression... I feel like something is not flowing... I don't know, it's just an impression, he is a great dancer of course.

What difference would Andra Valdilaite feel when she danced with Maurizio Vescovo and Nino Langella...? I think Nino gave more freedom to Andra than Maurizio did...and in terms of flexibility and fluidity...Nino's style was firm on those style which might have given more freedom to Andra to dance with...

@@globalcoupledances Negative. This is Open, so WDC and Dancesport guys could compete with one another. Langella and Vaidilaite- now a marriage couple are WDC dancers at the highest level. The finalists of the Professional Latin World Championships. Are you satisfied now ?

this nor "dancesport". you are thinking of wdsf. second there a lot of technique, presentation and artistic presentation that is not obvious to somebody who is not trained in it. you can just ignore the judging and just enjoy the dancing. there is absolutely wrong with it, @@globalcoupledances

There seems to be this growing trend of dancers making yelling sounds when they hit a sharp line. You can hear it all through this video. Is it really necessary and do the Maria Sharapova sound effects add anything to the quality of the dance? For me NO! If anyone can offer me a sensible reason for this evolution I'm happy to listen because its off putting to me and I don't get it.

it's probably related to efficient breathing, hence better effort management and improved resistance.. but you're right , it's pretty annoying (it was already weird watching them making "fish faces" :D ).

lolshka sadasd. I asked to name one dance style so you came up with one dance and yes I understand on the odd occasion it is within the paso character, but as for other latin dances it doesn't fit especially when done so often and so loud. For me it seems it has more to do with attracting attention, showmanship and unnecessary theatrics.
