Although I’ve come to accept and enjoy modern Ninjago, that bit was actually what put me off it for over a year. As soon as I saw Lloyd looking and sounding like a parody of his former self, I just felt a sense of betrayal. I was just like “who does this guy think he is?”. The design changes were so unnecessary but they could’ve at least explained it. This opening was great until I saw this green imposter show up. Seeing the stupid version of Lloyd from the movie appear in the part of Ninjago I actually enjoyed felt like a cruel joke. Even though I don’t dislike this season anymore, this part left a bad taste in my mouth.

No matter what you think, you gotta admit that SoG and Hunted are two of Ninjago's best seasons

Legit my favorite music in all of Ninjago. It's beyond amazing and is used to reveal Harumi's identity in the most prefect way possible. I honestly can't believe a tv show can have music this good.

It feels weird coming back to this show and hearing the music now that I'm a composer myself but.. that only makes this shows glow up even more impressive. I would have never expected to hear 5:00 in the same show that involved snake people trying to summon a giant snake, but holy shit.. SOG and Hunted are truly cinema. I'm in awe at this soundtrack AND at the quality of these seasons.

The emotion and work that was put into almost all of Harumi's music is amazing. It gives me chills every time. Especially the piece that plays during her betrayal scene in 'Game of Masks.' It goes from sweet to urgent as Lloyd's suspicion grows, and then dramatic and dark as the scene becomes exactly that. Whenever I listen to it one of her lines plays on repeat in my head. "But he couldn't save my parents. I died that day too."

I recently rewatched the Trilogy (this is right before DR S1 Part 2 drops) and it can never be beaten, 8 and 9 will be my favorites forever.
