Not gonna lie, pedophiles don’t “like” kids in a romantic way, it’s all about abuse of power and strength (r*pe is the same way, but that’s not limited to just kids like pedophilia is). About using those with less power and understanding/experience than you. So I definitely agree with what you’re saying, but even once her spirit is replaced, it’s still a child’s body, with a still pretty young soul in it. Plus I think they find out that he was never actually in love with Dalia(?) in the first place; he used her and manipulated/conditioned her so that she’d be willing to marry him in the first place. Like all abusers, everyone else was simply a tool to him. He wasn’t even rebuilding djinnjago because of a love for his home realm. He only rebuilt it so he could have infinite power. This season is both fantastic and awful in all the shit it put all the characters through and how it handled it. Honestly if they didn’t force the awkward Jaya romance for right then, it probably would’ve been the best. Because they didn’t wait (or just not do it at all, both are valid) it undoes all the growth the characters go through and it invalidates all of Nya’s anger and frustration with the sexism around her. Sorry for info dumping, I had legit no clue I had this much to say about Skybound

I'm remembering now that this was like one of my top 2 favorite arcs to watch and rewatch and stuff. I probs need to go back and rewatch ninjago as a whole cuz it's been a while since I have- thought at a certain season I stopped watching it cuz they just didn't feel like themselves anymore. (The actual main reason I stopped watching is every time I'd watch it I'd binge watch it then run out of motivation, and the sudden change in how they acted at one part did play a role in my motivation. I haven't watched past a certain part of it still (': )
