@@Toxic_Man_ tbf theres a theory on why kai went from serious to a comic one that if u look at it, kinda makes sense kai was mostly serious throughout seasons 1-7 where he thought his parents were dead and had to take care of his sister, after season 7 happens, his personality kinda becomes less serious, up until season 16, which was the aftermath of losing nya, which his personality came back to his old one, until once again they got nya back

It’s called secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu and I think it did handle Kai’s character better because he actually develops and becomes more confident with himself. The way he acts is basically the same In both shows

Gotta say Kai has been done dirty in like the WildBrain era solely because his character is like the same things DR definitely gave him justice that I’ve never expected. Vincent Tong definitely love playing this character

Multiple people have commented on how Kai got his balls back after Bragi Schut's seasons and this is only one of the examples of how _Dragons Rising_ is the first good _Ninjago_ season since _March of the Oni,_ all because its writers have two things Bragi Schut didn't: respect for their work and a fully functional brain.

I think my favorite part of how refreshing DR felt was the humor. The joking, the funny quips, the teasing. The boogers joke was perfection lmao

I do feel like Kai is still being nerfed, dont really like how childish he behaves, hopefully they can bring back the kai from s5 the elemental arena battle one, felt like that was the peak.
i feel kai was much better handled this season by wild fire was a bad character and thus pulled him down this still isn't the kai who managed to orchestrate a double betrayal using only his wit or who strangled morro without his powers just to save his friend or go travel around to find out the truth about his parents atleast to me
