Nice video! Man finally a hall effect handheld mobile controller in this price range its awesome! Well apart from joysticks there are still many things on a controller which sometimes gets issues like connectivity, battery, triggers , latency etc. Please soon make a 1 - 3 month of use video and tell how the controller is performing in long run.

Hey, thanks for appreciating. I had done most of these tests including a high speed frame capture for latency on multiple controllers (invluding this controllers older base variant) a few months ago for a test of the 8bitdo pro. You should be able to view the same on my channel :) This model appears to be an improvement in most of these areas and likely retains the same BT 5 connectivity stack so I did not do it this time.

I tried with psplay and vibration works. Although tbh, it's probably better to let the phone handle the haptics with telescopic controllers

I really appreciate your videos and all the efforts you have put into it. I am a very casual gamer that too mostly I play on my windows machine, recently I bought the 15pro max hearing all about the gaming performance apple boasted upon, So I was in the market looking for a Nintendo style controller, and I stumbled upon this on amazon, and like everyone else I came to youtube for the product review, saw your in-depth review, but now I am confused as I don’t want to spend much as I wont be using it much so should I buy the Astra one ultra or the Astra one is just good enough, also I am ready to go all out and buy the Gamesir G8 gallelio , please advise if I should spend more or the least, my only requirement is when I want to use the device it should work thats all, your opinion?

It's doing fine. Been abused quite a bit including bunch of drops but seems to have held up ok. Connectivity is purely down to the device you use it with. Older phones tend to exhibit noticeable latency.

I think it should already be on amazon but not sure- Although the website should be fine too to order from- have ordered from them in the past as well and the checkout was via CCavenue / Stripe. Fair disclosure: I had done a review a while ago on another product of theirs that I had purchased from their site . I received this unit at a discounted price (based on prior review) directly from their warehouse

If u use the ps play app. There is a gamepad mode also. So if u use controller with gamepad mode and connect to ps. Will that work?

it was plug & play for me on PSPLAY i.e. I paired the controller and that was all there was to it. I did not have to go into controller mapping fields etc as the default mappings on the app were as expected

I don't like the lighting so I tend to switch it off. Without the led, the battery lasts long enough. Once a week recharge with probably 12-15 hours of usage. Leaving the led on will likely cut it significantly as the lights are way too bright for my liking

What are your thoughts on warranty, this is just a cheap drop shipped Chinese product and amazon not the company provides any warranty.

As far as I am aware, this is a licensed import with local warranty. Drop shipping from China is far too expensive now for anyone to be commercially viable given the customs/import restrictions from last few years. You may want to check with the seller though to confirm on their warranty policy

@@lesserknowntech I checked, it is 6 months mentioned on their site should have been atleast 1 years, whereas razer kishi provides 2 years, also I found razer kishi being sold for 3000 brand new.

@@harshvraj preferences can be subjective. While you can't go wrong with the Kishi, personally I never liked it much because of the effort it takes for putting in/taking out the phone. Mine has anyway become useless as my newer phones simply don't fit in it. The kishi v2 is a much better design afaik and that should be a good pick

yes you can... With the current Sony app, you do need to make sure you power on the controller AFTER connecting to the PS5. I prefer using MirrorPlay app though as that does not have this bug/limitation + has better streaming quality

Remove rubber pads from Razor Kishi

Tried that. While its still a no go for the Fold , the iPhone manages to fit. But the phone remains loose in the cavity without the rubber grommets and the C port fit becomes very odd (as it becomes longer than standard length without the pads... I am not sure if the constant movement will end up damaging the phone port but thats not a chance i want to take
