Ninjutsu Sensei Roemke teaches Kyoketsu Shoge tactics for the Dojo. A traditional Japanese weapon, the Kyoketsu Shoge was a metal ring on rope that was originally braided from horse hair or from women's hair. On the rope end opposite the ring was a metal blade-like weapon (perhaps originally similar to a hori or gardening knife). Many kyoketsu shoge have a blade with a hook instead of a straight blade.
