One thing I forgot to mention - the taste of the coffee from this coffee maker is sooo good compared to when we had the Keurig!! It just tastes so much fresher!

I know it sounds backwards, but try frothing the cold milk first, and then put it in the microwave (unless its fat free milk. Not sure about fat free). It tends to be quicker. You don't need to froth as long. The theory is, cold milk is more dense. It takes in air faster and more thoroughly when you whip it. You only need to froth until you start to see the milk foam with a thin layer of foam covering the surface (about 6-10 seconds). The heat from the microwave will expand the milk and foam, doing most of the work for you. It might take you a couple of tries to get the idea.

I've seen many comments that the Ninja coffee makers make a fresher, better tasting cup of coffee that is quite a bit hotter than the other coffee makers. Thanks for the review. I need to look into getting this unit to replace my Brim SW30 that is just average.

Took EVERY word out of my brain! I bought it at Sam's club last night,(was on last chance clearance for $99) got up and decided to watch the video before I open it, wishing I had bought VANILLA almond milk, only have unsweetened and dark chocolate(which will work)! Lol. I'm really going to enjoy my husband's father's Day gift 😆.

We have had this coffee maker for about a year but have only used it about 10 times (went back to the Keurig for now since we don't drink the same flavor of coffee :-) ) Our maker came with a reusable filter and silly me added the paper filter to it - thus causing an overflow of coffee grounds! Oops. Haven't used the frother yet. As soon as these kcups are gone, we will be back to using ours. Great video explaining the features.

Im 60. Reading instructions now comes hard for me. I gave my Keurig to good will when I had my first cup of coffee with froth at a friends house I love it! I purchased mine at KHOLS on a Memorial Day sale. It was 18.00 cheaper then Amazon on that day It’s easy to use. I love her instructions.

I have the Hamilton Beach Flex Brew because it does K cups plus a carafe. I only drink one cup in the morning so k cups makes more sense. I have had it for so many years that I don’t think fancy makers where even out yet!😊

I was actually looking at that one!! That one looks real nice too. I totally agree with you on that though - if I only had one cup, I'd probably still want to do the k-cups for one cup. With both my husband and I, we drink a whole carafe in the morning.

Hi Gail! So glad you enjoyed it! It really depends on the brand of coffee I'm using. If I just use a medium blend coffee, like Great Value or my favorite Dunkin, I usually use 5 to 6 scoops of the large size scoop (the one that shows the full carafe and has the 4-6 on it). Of course, everyone is different, so you could just try it and then adjust it to your liking. :)

Another great video - thx.I hope, you enjoy your Cappuccino....... since I don't like almondmilk, I use 1,5% milk. So my Latte Macchiato is 2 Points on blue. You find Ninja products in Germany as well. And I'm happy with my Siemens EQ6. Schönes Wochenende aus Deutschland, liebe Kristi.

I just got this coffee maker for my husband and I and it came with the reusable filter. Not sure if it’s a new thing for them but it came with the reusable filter. The only thing I’m not so pleased with this coffee maker is that I don’t feel like it makes the coffee hot enough, even with me warming the milk first it was not as hot as I like my coffee.

Oh no!! I wonder if there is a malfunction on yours. I have to let mine cool or I will burn myself when I drink it. It comes out steaming when I pour it. And I heard someone else say theirs came with a reusable filter, so must be a new thing. That's great.

Hi Cristina! Thanks so much. That's actually a great question I hadn't even thought of! It only lifts off just slightly, so maybe 1 to 2 inches. But it kind of latches on, so when you go to lift, it's possible you could kind of get that jerk reaction, so to speak, and if there's not enough room, I'd be afraid it would crack the top of the reservoir by hitting the underside of the cabinet. I hope I explained that right.

You can take back to sams and exchange if they have them or get full refund . I bought a hamilton ice coffee maker from sams and it quit working . I called sams and they told me bring it back they gave full refund . I used that money and added some to get this coffee maker she's reviewing I already love it . Taste so much better

Thanks Steve! I actually ended up buying a reusable one, but I also found some disposables from Grove that are called "If you care" and they are unbleached and certified compostable. :)

I switch them up once in a while. I was using Dunkin' Coffee for a while but my husband bought some generic Great Value medium classic roast and I was pretty impressed! And the price difference is great! I'm sure I'll get tired of it and change it up at some point, but for now, I'm enjoying it! :)

Hi Laura! I personally don't make lattes but from what I've read, this isn't a true espresso machine, but you can make lattes just by using more coffee to make it stronger and then using the frother. There are a few websites that show up when you Google it to see the variations in how people do it. Sorry I wasn't more helpful! :)

I am not aware of it making espressos. It just has the concentrated option, which I know some people use as a substitute for espresso. But it's not a true espresso in the sense you are referring to.

When you do delay brew, does it automatically show the time you previous set it at? Mine resets to 12:00am when I go to set it, so every day I have to change it to 7:00am.

That sounds like a malfunction of some sort. Mine stays on the time previously set. So, for example, during the week I have it set at 4:30. When I make it at night, I just hit that delay brew button twice and that's it. It's still on 4:30. When I go to change it for the weekend to make it later, I hit delay brew and it flashes 4:30 and then I change it from there. I would contact the company about that to see if there's something that can be reset.

@@PlanningUsHealthy I have the exact same model so I figured it was some sort of malfunction too. Funny thing is I called customer support and they said (in a very unconfident tone) that my model is older so that feature doesn't exist on the older models... Thank you for the reassurance and the quick response!

I was going to get a Keurig duo but this seems like a much better deal and right now it's only $100.

Great review, but my real question is: how good is the coffee? I'm leaning toward buying the single cup Moccamaster - I've tasted that coffee and it's amazing - but this one does have more features and flexibility. Ultimately, I don't want to trade gizmos for taste if we're spending $200-$250 for a coffee maker. I'd love to hear how the taste of the Ninja compares to others out there.

Hi Michael. So, I will say that it's better than the coffee from my Keurig. However, as it compares to other regular coffee makers, I wouldn't call myself a coffee connoisseur by any means, so I wouldn't be able to answer that question for you. Hopefully someone reading comments may have a better answer for you.:)
