I bought 2 bowls to freeze for Cuisinart ice cream maker. So I can make a gallon of ice cream, 2 batches at a time. I love it for family gatherings. It only takes a couple hours to harden off the ice cream & many recipes don’t call for cooking ingredients, so you can make it without refrigerating the base first. So it takes much less time. And processing for 20-25 minutes doesn’t seem long when you get such great results. I have made strawberry sorbet also. And it is so easy. Thanks for sharing and all you do. I’m going to make frozen yogurt with your Instant Pot yogurt recipe. We love the yogurt so frozen it should be wonderful.
Such an in depth video to not say which makes the better ice cream.
I mean the ninja is a super cheap version of the pacojet. I paid like 145$ the pacojet is $6500.
I love my Cuisinart ice cream maker. Yes, it takes a little planning but it’s worth it. I use well reviewed recipes and have never had a fail. I 10/10 recommend the Cuisinart ice cream maker. It’s a good idea to get an extra freezer bowl if you make a lot of ice cream, and that’s still cheaper than the Ninja.

But really if you have something like a chest freezer wouldn’t you just store the ice cream making container in the freezer so it’s ready at any given moment? My mom used to have an ice cream maker and that’s what she did. It was always there frozen ready to go all you had to do is make your base chill it make the ice cream and put it in the freezer for a few hours. When compared to the creamy that’s about the same amount of time possibly even less because you have to freeze what you’re going to spin first probably overnight.

I prefer a traditional cuizinart ice cream maker as well. I feel like there is a major taste/.texture difference

@@moniqueheubel8970 I use the recipes that came with the machine. I also have a White Mountain ice cream machine and have successfully used the recipes in its booklet. And the Internet, but for those I make sure they are recipes with a lot of positive reviews.
Thanks for this video! I've been seriously thinking about getting a Creami and this comparison really helped.
I grew up in the 70s and 80s with the hardcore old school ice cream makers. So much salt lol 😂 My dad used to make peach ice cream all summer long, a tradition I loved. He’d be rolling in his grave to see these machines.

It's frozen desserts idk how it would taste as real ice cream. These are more for ppl on diet aka frozen desserts lol.
I usually put my cuisineart soft icecream in a hyperchiller cup (made for ice coffee) and it thickens right away and is ready to eat in 3 mins..hope this helps.

How many quarts is your cusinart and how big is your hyperchiller cup
Thanks for making this video. I liked how you listed the pros and cons of each
I routinely use a non-egg recipe with a traditional ice cream maker and it takes way less prep time than the ninja creami. Yea, I have to wait longer for solid ice cream, but the ice cream is actually ice cream. The creami doesn't live up to the hype unless all you want to do is make "healthy" ice cream imo.
I just bought that same Cuisinart 2Qt for $24.99 at my local thrift store :P , I can't wait to give it a go!
The motor underneath lets off a slight smell and it's a little loud kzread.infoUgkxCKuMxLnvr6fJd_M4SE-n7trcGj3zEUHq but considering it's size and how hard it works to do the job, it's sort of expected. I assume the smell will go away over time. Overall, I love this cute little blender. The extra cups and lids are great too!

Does it still have an odor? Have been seeing reviews that it catches fire. Have you had any issues?
This is so helpful!! Thanks
The quart (symbol: qt) is a unit of volume in the United States customary and imperial systems of measurement. Multiple definitions of the quart exist. In the US, a liquid quart is equal to approximately 0.946353 liters and a dry quart is equal to approximately 1.101221 liters. In the UK, the imperial quart is equal to 1.136523. In both the UK and the US, the quart is equal to ¼ of its respective gallon. Your welcome.
I wanted more comparisons of the actual taste /texture of the finished product. If you were to make something like basic vanilla in both with same ingredients. And then something with fruit etc.

Oh that’s a great idea! Thank you!
i'm thinking of buying the Ninja creami 7 in 1 soon. Do you have any tips on where to buy it and get a good deal on it? I've checked so many places with good deals and it's sold out... but of course the ones that are more expensive aren't
You left out you can make sorbet with the ice cream maker and I haven't had to freeze my bowl with mixture no more than 3 hours.
From Trinidad, west indies, nice.Very informed, with prices etc. If I can be so informed on the commercial soft serve ones will be fine or you can recommend me of a well informed link
I have the cuisinart that you’re showing and love it. I don’t find the process slow but it does require planning ahead. I don’t chill my mixture before hand but def need to freeze it after. Also finding freezer space for the bowl can be an issue but it’s well worth it imo. The quality of cream and milk and fat content also makes a huge difference in whether it needs freezing right away or not.

Ninja multiple containers also require freezer space.
I almost bought the Creami from watching your video, but the sound level is a big deterrent for me. I found a Kumio processor machine on sale on Amazon with 1qt capacity, small footprint and low level sound. It makes yogourt, ice cream, mixes, cool down, no need for freezing a bowl, has a timer, and I saw someone make smaller batches on KZread. Looking forward to try it! On all the video I watched on the Creami, no one mention what happens with the leftover batch once it is put back in the freezer. Does it keeps its quality or do you need to process it all over again ? This doesn’t seem to be an issue with more traditional type of machines. Anyway, I am also attracted to low carb and fat ice creams, and the pre-freeze portions of the Creami. I might have to migrate to the Creami if the Kumio cannot handle these types of ice treats. Time will tell…
I have both & I love the ability to make low calorie (but still super delicious) ice creams in the Ninja Creami. It’s so fun experimenting with the Ninja too. It’s so much more versatile.

Do you make any low calorie ice creams in the cuisinart? If so what do you use?
Thank you!
Uh can you talk about the most important thing - how does the ice cream taste?! Yeah the ninja is fast, but sounds too good to be true if it the taste and texture are just as good?

The main thing that I wanted compatedwasthe texture and quality of the final product that each machine makes which ypu didn't go over at all....

@@HaimGreen yeah I'm not looking to buy that other machine. Just wanting to know how the quality of the end product compares in a ninja creami compared to a traditional ice cream maker. Which no one seems to be showing. Everyone is just comparing how the machines work not whether the ice cream it produces is of similar or better quality.

great video. Defo want the Ninja, I love sorbet.
Great points! I think one negative for the ice cream maker is that the container you need to freeze is huge since it has the thick insulated walls. A lot of freezer space compared to the Ninja Creami pints. I've been doing vanilla blueberry frozen yogurt in my Ninja Creami made from vanilla yogurt added some sweetener and a hand full of dethawed wild blue berries using the mix in function after the froyo base is spun and its really healthy and tastes good. This is the reason I wanted a Creami, for simple quick recipes. I will admit that store bought froyo is slightly more creamy and rich but my version is way better health wise and its not far off flavor wise.

I think store bought has gelatin or corn starch for the smoothness.
I have the cuisinart and it made no sugar no dairy coconut ice cream beautifully. BUT the left overs froze up hard as a rock and I couldn’t eat it. It was the lack of sugar. I’m here looking for the creami so I can just make a small batch. If I have leftovers that freeze up into a block, hoping I can just run it through the creami again.
You still have to freeze the pints for the Creami ahead of time. You can't just come home and decide to have ice cream unless you've pre-frozen your pints the day before. We also own an ice cream maker that has a built-in chiller and it beats the Creami hands-down for just making ice cream on a whim. If a bunch of people come over to the house, I don't want to have to worry about having future vision to know that I'm going to need to pre-freeze my pints. You can love the Creami without having to sh*t on other products.
I LOVE my Cuisinart ice cream maker! I think the fact that the Ninja DOESNT make two quarts is a con 😂. Also, after making 2 quarts of ice cream, I’m kinda set for awhile. I don’t need another 2 quarts the next day. I like the simplicity of the Cuisinart….one switch for on/off is a positive in my book. You can also make yogurt ice cream and sorbet in the Cuisinart. Ninja product is 2X the cost and looks like a big complicated machine. Gotta go eat some ice cream now. 😊
I just keep the cuisinart freezer bowl in the freezer at all times so if I ever want ice cream I just throw together a non-cooked recipe and turn it on for 20-30 minutes. I prefer soft serve anyway so I can literally get from deciding to make ice cream to having it in my bowl and eating it in about half an hour. With the Creami you need to know what kind of ice cream you're making ahead of time because you need to to freeze the ingredients in advance. I'd imagine the Creami would feel waaaay slower.
But does the Ninja actually make ice cream or just grind frozen ingredients? I think both have advantages but the Ninja makes frozen treats, not actual ice cream. Thoughts?

It makes ice cream just as much as a traditional ice cream maker does. It just makes other options too. It’s based on the same principle/process as a very expensive machine found in many restaurants across the world

It just grinds the frozen Icecream that was frozen the night before. It doesn’t freeze icecream ingredients for you . Basically just mixes frozen ingredients
I came here to see a comparison for the gelato….
Why isn’t it possible to “just throw everything in” in the traditional one? Why doesn’t it work if you put in Milk alternatives or something like that? Is it just not turning into ice cream? Or whats the reason?
Literally just gave away my Cuisinart Ice Cream maker in favor of the Ninja Creami deluxe …. Won’t be going back…. Took up way too much room in my freezer for that core to stay frozen… we are LOVING THE CREAMI DELUXE!!
Awesome video, dont listen to the people saying you sound biased, you highlighted the pros and cons of both machines very well! Thank you for such informative videos!

If u knew real ice cream uses cream and old school they had to get rock salt and then churn with hand and wow taste yummy. I know cuisinart taste like real ice cream not grocery store ice mess. When I was a kid I never would eat box ice cream my other grandma Marie made me some old fashioned with cream and carnation milk and it was yummy . So Ninja can make frozen desserts which we need when we are on diet is great and awesome. Idk if quick and easy always taste better. You get 2metal bowls with Cuisinart the one I have you can at night put both in freezer , make mixture put in bowl when u wake up you prepare you have timer on microwave on cell phone, clock on wall lol and Apple Watch, if u want good u have to prepare but if u want east maybe it will taste good but the consistency, u still need to freeze it how long does that take. It's the same thing u have prepare. U wake up freeze fruit or whatever a few hours or u could froze the night before just like the bowl. So she's sayin she gets up freezers a hour or two then prepares. It's her was to organize her time either way u have to pray. Wouldn't it be better to prepare ahead maybe a day before then pop it in 5 mins or 25 . Either way I like frozen desserts but I would have to see how it taste for real ice cream and consistency. Nowadays they call anything ice cream, when no cream is anywhere lol

I have a $40 electric ice cream maker that uses ice and salt and I make ice cream with cream, milk and eggs. So much better as all you need to really do is make sure you have enough ice which I have a ice maker anyways. Don’t have to wait a day for ice cream.
Im so confused now😤.......thank you......😂
Dietary ice cream is heresy.
Helpful but I found the review biased towards one over the other.
Just get a traditional ice cream maker that uses ice and salt to freeze it.

There was clearly nothing biased about this video. She literally gave realistic pros to Cuisinart and cons to Ninja. I don’t think she needs to be trashed because there’s been a superior and unique ice cream maker added to the market that’s more catered towards the average/light/experimental user. Of course, as she mentioned, Cuisinart is maybe better for those who enjoy the process of ice cream making. I think that’s a very fair observation. Please consider that there’s a real human putting their time and energy into making content :)
