NINGALOO REEF, AUSTRALIA - Better than GREAT BARRIER? Road Trip CORAL BAY

The Great Barrier Reef is world famous and perhaps the most beautiful reef in the world. But do you also know the reef on the other side? The Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia is perhaps just as beautiful! Because it is very remote and quiet here, you can make an amazing road trip through the dunes by car. We also snorkel all alone in the crystal clear blue water, among colored fish and sea turtles. This is perhaps the most beautiful natural place in the whole world.
Australia is a paradise for every traveller. The gigantic country is full of wild animals, beautiful natural places and cultural highlights. After a previous trip along the east coast of Australia, we now visit the west coast in the province of Western Australia. And how? We take the 4x4 with two rooftop tents and head out into the great outdoors. Earlier you saw us drive to the southwestern tip of Australia in Margaret River and we also visited the metropolis of Perth with its beautiful skyline. We then visited Fremantle, the Pinnacles, Geraldton, the pink Hutt Lagoon, the outback in Kalbarri National Park and the World Heritage Site of Shark Bay. After this part in Ningaloo and the Coral Bay we will visit Exmouth, Cape Range National Park, Karijini National Park, Port Headland, 80 Mile Beach, Cape Keraudren and Broome.
We make our trip through Australia during a year-long world tour. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. The next continent Australia is already our nineteenth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in Australia, from Perth to Broome and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross over to the Philippines and Africa! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything, with a new episode every week. Why are there only campings and not hotels in Coral Bay? Are there sharks in these waters?

  • @WoutoftheWorld

    @WoutoftheWorld

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi Adriana! I don’t know why this is, but I guess there isn’t really a town or buildings for that matter. It’s just the nature and even no shops or restaurants there. The coral is like a natural barrier so the only sharks in the shallow waters are reef sharks, not the dangerous ones 😅 cheers and happy travels!

    Hi. 90% of the West Australian coastline is untouched wilderness. Accomodation is limited because too much tourism will destroy it's fragile beauty not to mention the Eco system itself. Movement around the coast is strictly controlled and any attempt to deviate away from the designated roads and pathways will attract heavy fines or imprisonment. There are two sides to that coin. First is protecting the natural environment the other is personal safety. Off the paths there are numerous dangers and too many people have died. Where as the east coast of Australia's natural environment has been damaged by tourism we won't allow that to happen here. So hire a 4x4, stick to the rules and you too can have an amazing wilderness adventure knowing your foot print has caused no harm. If it's hotels and all the comforts of city lifestyle you desire whilst exploring a beautiful region you would pick the state of Queensland and the numerous hotels and tourist spots they offer. WA and the Pilbara, Kimberley and South West regions are remote but not as remote as the Goldfields Region with it's large town Kalgoorlie which sits on the edge of the deep red Earth's of the outback. Lot's to explore but as for comfort tourism it's very limited.
