I feel nothing but respect and admiration for Mr. Trent Reznor. Bear in mind that this man was completely fucked up back in the '90s, he sank into a deep depression and had nothing but a drug addiction, he felt lonely and desperate. He somehow overcame all of that and by the mid-2000s he was a new, happier man, going to the gym and leaving behind all the addictions he had, marrying a beautiful wife and having children with her. Oh, and let's not forget that he's an influential multi-award winning musician. A true hero and genius!

Mad respect, most people don't care cuz we fixate on those who die young. But it takes a lot more to win over your demons.

After having seen their show in Amsterdam last wednesday I was blown away. Not just the best NiN concert I ever saw, with everyone at their musical peak performance, but also the best setlist of any concert I went to ever... The show was austere like Trent describes but he doesn’t do it justice. Mostly lights (lots of them) but extremely well choreographed and coordinated. That culminated in The. Best. Live. Performance. Ever!

So you've got two mini EP episodes and a full album to finish it off... it's like Half-Life 2 except the third episode actually happened. Valve could learn something here... Funny thing is I was in Prague a few weeks ago to meet family I have there, and one thing I noticed (although I sadly did not get to actually go see) is NIN was there doing a show at the same time.

He does seem bored. The interviewer is a little disconnected from what he's portraying. She's not necessarily being perceptive to his feelings, and not allowing it to influence her questions, to connect with him. She's kind of cold and disconnected. Just my perception. She doesn't attempt to connect with them where they're at in the beginning. But perhaps they had a limited time they could meet? Who knows.

I kind of liked how the interviewer just kind of let Trent ramble. I've seen interviews try and steer the conversation into the topics they want. And they ask questions that are less about the artistry of making music and touring, and more gossipy and tabloid style. Asking Trent stuff that is personal and you can see him get annoyed. She kind of just let Trent talk about what he already wanted to say, and loosely guided him.

With Teeth was amazing as well. But dude, I have to be honest with you. Bad Witch is by far the best NIN album thus far! It is absolutely amazing what they did here! Who would have thought taking a big shit on a keyboard would have sounded so good! Keep up the good work Trent! Maybe on the next album you can have only one 3 minute farting track. I know next to nothing about Nine Inch Nails. I don't know if I like their music yet but he's right about those stage shows. None of those bells and whistles ever mattered. The "immersive" experience is all in the songs. I'm listening to Bad Witch atm but if anyone can suggest an album I should hear can u let me know?

The Fragile is a beautiful album. Probably one of their most musically diverse releases.

The Downward Spiral for sure but I think all of his albums are good, you will hear people saying nin is not the same since Trent left drugs but that is just "fans" who want to hear the same thing and feel safe about it but Trent Reznor is not a safe person he always try new stuff and not everyone cant stand that So yeah in my opinion if you want to hear something heavy try the downward spiral or you can start with with teeth which is not that heavy but still fucking great or you can even try newer stuff like hesitation marks which is an awesome album too

All his stuff is fantastic. I’m glad he’s clean and still alive to be making music. Even if it’s not the same angry stuff he used to make.

I have been a NIN fan for 30 years, I have seen almost every show they have put on in Detroit. But I must say, the way the promoter botched shit up for the Detroit concert ticket sales has pissed me off. This will be the first time I have not gone to see NIN since I was able to go to concerts. I am so furious at the lack of communication the promoters had for the venue change for the ticket sales, and really, the lack of people to actually set everything up. This is no reflection of Trent, but it has left a very sour taste in my mouth. Now the only way I will be able to see them in October is to get some shitty ass, Over priced seats from Stub Hub. Not cool at all.
