I purchased this album yesterday,such a great album

Great album...the sound the tracks and everything about it !

It leaves me with a feeling of fulfillment, like watching a series of movies.

Fell in love with her voice and music since the Sleepwalking album, which has been my favorite one ever since. Keep up the great work, the Queen. Will be waiting for a new solo album..

Sad there's only 9 songs on it, and how wonderful to hear a truly stunning and inspired KW song to be covered, not one of the obvious 3 they always pick, or rather just that ONE they always pick when people bother covering her at all.

Lovers On The Beach was originally a Kim Wilde song. If you listen to her version, only listen to her 7+ minute version! Not the short 3 minute version. If you were already aware of her version, that's cool. Someone else reading this might not be aware.

No it isn't, not in its original form, and anyone who is a NINA fan should know that this is a Kim Wilde song from her awesome 1984 period, but which never made an album, 'just' one of many killer B-sides the lady throughout the wonderful 80s. The original itself sounds nothing like anything apart from Kim Wilde, this is shot through with a Bronski Beat vibe, I grant you, but the song is all Kim and Ricky.

Here is this thing... ever song that is 100% Nina - its hot, its on fire. Songs with Ricky Wilde, not so much. Its just not my preference for female voices. There seems to how the songs are constructed with two vocal types are back-to-back. Nina is very breathless sounding, Ricky is very defined and sharp. When front and center in the song, his voices clashes with Nina's. "Fade Me Out", "Gold Heart" & "Fighter", however, work way because Ricky's voice is the background harmonizing vocals. Just my thoughts.

I used to think like you a million years ago, then I realised too that the right men, like the right women only (and there are not many examples of either of these) have awesome voices and the right combination off male and female (i.e. Cock Robin, Roxette and Dollar) can sound awesome, and Ricky has an awesome voice, but has barely used for more than backing vocals on most 80s Kim albums, until the sad 90s where he hardly did any at all, but come back, finally, full throttle to 80s backing vocals best, and a bit more besides, for Kim's amazing comeback album 2018.

I'd rather just having Nina singing. I waited for a new Nina album and now I likely won't be listening to it very much.

Pretty good stuff, and I usually find these syntgwave albums with vocals to have too generic of a sound....and kinda cheesy. This has some gems on it though Fighter is the star of the show.
