i shot the z8 last weekend for the first time and I have a couple of complains that I think have to do with the evf. At around 50 min on the first dive, I was seeing an overheating warning and I had around 30 shots and 4 or 5 8k 60p nraw video clips not longer that 30 secs each. The water was very warm at 82 degrees. I was using ikelite housing and the evf stays on all the time because the housing viewfinder seats on top of the camera evf eye sensor. I had the camera standby set to 5 min and have changed it to 1 min to see how it does next time. Also the battery was about to die at the end of the 2nd dive. Both dives were about 1 hr. I don't know if the nauticam housing causes the same issue with the viewfinder.

The camera does tend to generate heat warnings quickly and can chew through battery depending on settings. We experienced similar when using the Nauticam but as we say in the review, it never actually prevented us from shooting.

@@backscatteruw i actually used it last weekend again with the standby set to 1 min and didn't get the heating issue anymore and i actually recorded more video than the previous time.
