I am sure you do have alot of old barns over in England. Some day I might make a trip across the pond. Thanks for stopping by to view the video and leaving a comment. Cheers.

Hi, here in the UK we don't have barns like you do in the US but I can appreciate them as photographic subjects! Just a word of caution, I notice you have just the one bolt holding the arca plate onto the lens, you may want to consider adding another if you can as these bolts due to their small size can be quite stressed(I've had a couple break in the past), another bolt in the other hole just gives a bit of insurance against disaster! Enjoying your channel, cheers, Tony.

Thanks for the word of caution. I am in the process of purchasing a proper Kirk Replacement for that lens.

I am always trying to find old interesting barns when i am out driving around. Trying to remember where they are at, well that is another problem.

The reason Nikon doesn’t include an ARCA-Swiss foot is that there are other quick release systems and if Nikon favors one over the other, it would be unfair to the other systems.

Thanks for stopping by and yes I agree somewhat, but the Arca Swiss is the most out there being used.

@rdphoto2 yes, I have read a lot about it and from what I read it's a very nice overhaul of the 200-500...I think it's definitely sharper and everyone says the AF is faster...I would definitely appreciate the extra 100mm of reach as well...I'm gonna wait until this time next year and if Nikon hasn't made a D500 replacement I'm going to either buy another D500 and scoop up this pro level F mount glass that continues to fall in price or finally go mirrorless.. I really want an APS-C body but it's looking like that isn't going to happen, so the 600mm would help make up for losing the 1.5× crop factor..I did see a Nikon 600f4 in excellent condition for $7000 the other day..A lot of money but a far cry from the new price of $12,300!
