Very cool! i just bought this camera from my local camera store because I wanted to use my vintage pre ai nikkor lens on a digital nikon body and I was surprised that the pictures hold up well with lots of light

Yeah I was surprised by the quality of photos from it, I'm on the lookout for some other old DSLRs from years gone by. One of the issues I didn't like was how slow it is once you have taken a photo before you can review it on screen, but then it is 13 years old so we shouldn't expect too much. Enjoy your new purchase and I hope you get lots of great photos with it.

Uses DXO PhotoLab Deep Prime best noise reduction. There is also DXO PureRaw Deep Prime but less features. DXO PhotoLab is better because you can still change the luminance if you need to remove a little bit more noise.

I've never heard of this software before, I know about DXO but I might look into it and try it to see for myself if it's worth investing in, thanks.

Just bought this camera to start with digital photography. Kinda nervous since I mainly shoot film but it got expensive. Wish me luck

Good luck, nice choice to start your digital photography with and you would have picked it cheap I would imagine? Pair it with a decent quality lens and you'll be right as rain.

I got this camera second hand in 2016 when I started photography. I've now started again and found I take better photos with my phone. I'm gonna a try learn a manual dlsr first before I upgrade. might get a better lense but not sure. Edit I'm stupidi have a d40...I should learn to read. Still a good camera ans can teach me alot

Good to hear, good composition comes from within yourself, image quality comes from top quality lenses so upgrading to a decent prime lens for example will certainly help. All the best with your photography, it's always good to hear the experiences from other photographers. Cheers.

If you are on a budget, sure. As I put it in this video, with a good lens on it , it takes good photos. If that's all I could afford then I could be quite happy taking photos with it. Bonus is that these are cheap and there are heaps of good lenses for the mount. Cheers.
