He started off as someone I couldn't stand. By the time Tyrion had unearthed the bodies of his dead siblings, I was in tears to think of how far Jaime had come only to end up like that.

I like that the interviewer didn’t set him up with a question that would be hard to answer and just asked if it’s too similar to GOT for him to watch

This new series of his looks VERY interesting. Great questions...and I really loved his answer...both because he tells something about his character, but also about himself. I actually know NOTHING about him, but have loved his performances. Great question about HotD. Each time it is asked...I'm looking for WHEN that cast will be able to watch this new series without it being weird. As always, great junket interview. I really wish you were able to have MORE time with him. Thanks for what you do, and how you do it. Style.

@@Owen-ub3fv - Nope, just a fan of his interviews and his podcast. He lives in Chicago, and my wife and I live in Aurora, Indiana (close, but not the same). Sorry to disappoint.

I don't blame him, they completely destroyed his character in GOT in the final season, I probably wouldn't give them a chance either

@@fafolaw Hey, I'm not trying to argue or to change your mind. I love Jaime's character and I'm just interested in a discussion about his morality. Honestly, I don't think that he did anything wrong (maybe except leaving Brienne the way he did) and his ending is a very appropriate conlusion in my opinion. I find it interesting that so many people see him trying to protect his family as something that undoes his redemption. Another thing that is fascinating to me is how much people hate Cersei. Other than having an unpleasant personality and disdain for Tyrion, she hasn't really done anything too horrible. Her most evil deed was blowing up the sept and yet that's the one thing that people cheered her for.

Nik looking good! Definitely gonna watch that stuff.

for real I reaally hope they change the theme song for the show, something with the same westerose vibe but different you know? more hot or intense while the original GoT theme song feel more cold and bitter

I agree with this 100%. I was actually quite shocked at 1st viewing to see they used the exact same theme. They shouldve come up with something unique that matches the vibe of the show better or at the least a remix that makes a differentiation from the original GoT mix. Using the same exact theme just feels wrong.

I think the game of thrones theme is akin to the Star Wars theme it also need to be the same opening.

They should've gone with the Targaryan theme music that we got when Danny an Drogon were in a scene an not the GOT music, I'm a Targaryan Loyalist 🖤❤️🖤❤️👑🐲🐲🐲

Danny/Drogon music is the series-long trojan horse "protagonist" music meant to prop up the Taegaryan Queen as "good" ... so no it wouldn't fit to use it for a show about the whole bloody history of their house

unless he started watching from second episode - the intro song for the first episode wasn’t the main game of thrones them song. it’s called the The heirs of the dragon. Don’t trust them lannisters

Jaime Lannister is risen! At least Nikolai's working and doing well in his post-GOT life. I've already seen that Emilia Clarke refuses to watch HOTD because it feels just too weird. GOT was such a massive chunk out of everyone's lives (cast and crew as well as the fans) that I can sort of understand why some actors would want to move on to other projects while a few would at least be up for returning to their roles for spin-off shows. It's also interesting that he brings up how the opening title sequence uses the same music from the original show and that it might have been a little detail to put him off the show. I wish the showrunners for HOTD had gone with something different for the main title sequence, perhaps something with more of the Targaryen themes from GOT.

Yeah i was hoping they would do the song: A song of ice and fire instead because it fits perfectly and it basically sounds about the same anyway, i mean it's THE theme

The theme is just too beloved I’m glad it’s back all the feelings come back when I watch HOTD and it’s a great feeling

How responsible it is, to call your daughter Daenerys before the show has ended?

I really didn't like them using the same theme. Great show though.

It seems to me that HOTD would have done a little bit better by having the Targaryen theme music incorporated into their opening title sequence instead of using the exact same theme from GOT. We're up to our eyeballs in dragons here! The music should reflect that.

Why they thought it was a good idea to not change the music is beyond me. First thing I said and felt disappointed by when watching the first episode. Title sequence is fine if you put fresh theme music to it. Someone messed that up imo.

I’d prefer the season 2 opening to be of the Dragonstone map table. They can show the table slowly lighting up from underneath as they travel the map. As a bonus they can mark out which houses/lands are showing the green or black’s banner in support for Rhaenyra or Aegon. This can change each episode depending of the events that take place. I just miss the map and it’s a great opportunity to reuse it as Dragonstone literally has one. I don’t mind the music at all, it keeps it nostalgic and continuous for casual fans.

Nobody is harassing actors. It is normal fandom is going to be super mad with the butchering of the last 2 seasons. We can only be sad for these actors and the rest of the people who worked on the show.

If you see articles from 2014 about GoT, they literally mention how he himself said he was tired and burnt out by the interactions he had over the role. And this was when the show was at the peak of its popularity. He wasn't even around during the actual shitahow. Ask Sophie Turner how it felt getting ran out of social media by unhigned Dany stans sending her SA memes.

The new got is worse then season 8, by far. Very few seem to realize that, but hey to eaches own

After seeing the first few of episodes of HotD, I decided to wait for another lifetime before seeing the rest of it.
