In his position he is reinventing it. Putting entertainment and fun back in the game. It’s because of him that I watch the NBA playoffs again.

I've watched ball since the 80s. Jokic is like a 7 ft Larry bird combined with the post up game of Kevin mchale. He's the best big man I've seen since I've been watching. Hakeem was before that.

You a lie Put him in the 90's and those guys feast that he plays no defense and he doesn't have Mchales game STOP IT there are no centers in todays game outside EMBID and when he plays him he gets schooled yo really think he just going to walk all over David Roibinson, Hakeem Young SHAQ Pat EWING ZO MOURNING MT MUTOMBO YOU DELUSONSIONAL throwing that elbow that Jokic does to create space will have no effect against those guys and he is not driving past them they are all quik stop trying to find hope in a GREAT WHITE HYPE and look at the time period for what it is

@@philminor233 not many people have mchales post up game, only Hakeem has a better one. He reminds me of those guys though. They make the whole team better like bird did. Your points are valid. I think today's game is pretty whack compared to the 80 and 90s. It's too hard to say what a guy would do then, we can only assume they would be playing the game like it was played at that time. It's evolved to where we have overall weak centers and the post doesn't get pounded like it use to. I think overall he affects the game flow like few I've seen. I can't look at him as a traditional center because he's doing more than posting up like they did in the 90s. I remember thinking how crazy it was for cliff Robinson to join a 3 pt shoot when the line was shortened. You never saw bigs attempt 3s, besides manute bol back then. The game has changed for the worst but it's too hard to say what jokic would do back then, he probably would just be a traditional center because that's what was expected of guys in the 90s.

@@Jim26D David Robinson was a jump shooter Hakeem had a jump shot so did zo patrick it just wasn't a 3 so your wrong watch footage again they just didn't back you down they could and they were better than jokes and I didn't even mention some of the 4's whole other topic but Hakeem Quadruple Double lolol David Robinson dropped 71 in a game not shooting a 3 lololol as did SHAQ lololol you make some great points but at the end of the day he like the EUROPEANS that they played in the olympics will be turned into a jumpshooter andthat was nothing for them he is not even better then a young ARVYDAS SABONIS who can actually RUN the floor like a wing

@@philminor233 your right about all these points. Patrick had a great mid range shot as did Robinson. Sabonis I didn't get to see till he was an old rookie around 95 with foot issues so I never got ti see his prime. Shaq took a few joke 3s I remember I meant someone who actually was expected to make them. All of them were great at what they did. Jokic has a better overall iq and control of the game. The guys got mentioned were some of my all time favorite players from that time period and not denying anything you said

@@philminor233that’s not true people paint joker as a way worse defender then he actually is if you watch the games he’s responsible for a lot of loose balls with his long arms and contests other big men well in the paint. Sure he’s not on the same level as Hakeem and Robinson but if you think they can “lock him up” in one on one situations with no help from a lurking shot blocker then you’re mistaken. Jokic is the same size as Robinson, Hakeem, Patrick Ewing, with Shaq being the exception and is just as strong even though it might not seem like it since there muscles are more defined. Those centers drew way more fouls than Jokic has in the entirety of his career even though if you watch the games defenses have to grab him and elbow him but the refs don’t call it because they know it would be unfair for the league because they know Joker is going to score regardless.

Good breakdown, bro. But one thing that I hate that would be fair for some is that Jokić is not great defensively. He's not bad when he turns it up, but there are lapses on his defenses at times. That said, if you watch those plays play out, the times Jokić "sleeps" on contesting shots are the ones wherein he looks for quick transition plays. You'd see KCP or Gordon rushing to the other end of the court for a possible dime. His IQ also adds to his defensive mind. You'd see him orchestrate his teams defensive coverages a lot of times, literally calling offensive plays in real time and telling his teammates where they should be. I believe Jokić is going to be in the top 10 if he wins 2 more championships. His offensive arsenal (scoring and playmaking) is a notch above everyone else in the top 10 with a prime LeBron. I'm just grateful to be able to watch him play.

he is so god and his highlights and he and A.G. they are not playing pick&roll they are playing rock&roll but he is not Americans so bright lights are not on him, only a cold wind blows in his direction, just listen Kevin Heart and Lil Wayne what do they have to say about him.. well, none of the Americans really appreciate him, they just despise him, if they really have to, they talk about Jokić. He is a player the world has never seen and never will again, they keep saying that he can't jump, that he is not an athlete and all the worst, so when you look at him you only see the worst

He doesn't hold a candle to the greatest center in the history of the NBA. Dan Issel was the GOAT.

also Aaron Gordon, that man is so god dunker and world have never ...he dunks so well everyone is jealous .. some of his dunks are something no one has done before .. no one respects him, he doesn't get any bright lights... ask yourself where your heart would be if no one respected you, if the bright lights were on Denver, believe me, they would be twice as good... like this, I think Jokic heart is in the stable with horses and in Serbia, Murray's heart is in Canada, and the others would rather be with their families and friends

Salty Shaq I loved watching, was so hyped trying to find rookie cards in packs as a kid. He had the gift of size and strength but wasn't what I'd call a skilled center, just naturally unstoppable.
