This movie can never be remade, times are just not the same, but the themes will always be prevalent. I’ve went through a lot of what was portrayed in this movie. The main difference was that a chunk of it was through social media which is a whole new ball game….

my good friend her cousin had a lifetime movie made about her and internet bullying. it's called Girl Fight, where they beat her up so bad she almost died and live streamed it. the thing though, as crazy as it is to say, i think social media is only going to be half of the battle today. now we've got the fent. crisis and it's just a sad time to grow up, i am right on the cut off of gen z and millennial and so honestly, i'd rather not grow up rn. def happy i had that weird transition than to be not full one or the other, bc i can say now, internet bullying will be so much harder to catch.... i guess though, at least you have a better shot at knowing the true effects of what doing druqqs will do to you, so it's kind of a catch 22, lol.

I was 15 when I saw thirteen and I was extremely shocked... I was thinking " wait should I have been doing this stuff at 13?!" and then I became a worse person lol. but oh well....I'm 30 now and I am watching it in between watching you guys and I am literally crying through this whole movie because it is sooo sad. I can see why the woman who helped Evan wanted to help people after watching this because I feel that if I was older when I saw it I would have felt sympathy as well.

This movie is a mirror reflection in so many ways of my life at that age. I am only a few days older than Evan Rachel Wood, and my best friend Haley, was a couple of weeks older than Nikki! We were partners in crime, and did so many dumb things together, its a miracle we made it to adulthood! This movie holds a special place in my heart, although the movie has some heartbreaking moments, its real life....I appreciate the rawness, and courage for them to touch on the pressures of being a teen! My poor momma went through hell with me during those adolescent years, and my BF Haley, like Nikki in the movie, lost her mom and was raised by other family members. I am 34 yrs old, and Haley is 33, and we remain best friends to this day! Thanks again for #thirteen! Whenever I want to step back in time, I watch this movie!

I don’t remember the age I think preteen I’m sure it was young but my mom showed me this when I was really depressed and this movie never left my mind EVER I’ve noticed the black trope in this film however is high key racist but besides that part of the mess this film is beautiful in such a raw way. I could tell this movie wasn’t just a movie they lived this and the fact they were 14-15 is insane that’s real.

I think Thirteen is taken in different ways. Some girls wanna be like them or realize they shouldn’t be like them. No 13 year old needs to be doing any of that stuff they’re still kids. When I discovered the movie I thought they were so cool and I wanted to be like them but I knew it was wrong.

Vanessa Hudgens was very young in this movie she had a small part in this movie, but her character stood out as a person that the main character should have followed. Vanessa’s character was the good influence…in a sea of bad and sad characters leading to a life of drugs and living on the streets.

Nikki said that “Evie” was a mix of different people. The most person who rapresent Evie really gets into drugs and enter and exit into Jail a lot of times.
