I wish I could have meet Niki Lauda before he passed away. Very sad. One of the true legends of Formula One
That’s what F1 is missing today: thinking 2 steps ahead in the interest of this specific business
Bernie helped James get his BBC gig ... awewsome

Why did i read BBC not as British Broadcasting Company but.....
Racing back then was insanely dangerous. Has anyone seen old Spa with the telephone poles on the right?
Game recognized Game.

I think it is because he has no underlying agenda to devalue the people he is interviewing. You can see how he tries to balance the difficult questions with the easy ones. He is insightful, an enthusiastic to speak with. I'm sure if he wanted to interview you, you would come out shining like a new penny. Just my pennies worth of thoughts.

He doesn't try to be the star of the interview. He doesn't interrupt. He asks good questions. He doesn't try to derail his guest to make himself look tough. In addition, he has a diplomatic way to ask the tough questions.
Bernie's biggest fan is Bernie

A most unusual comment. This was about Lauda and Ecclestone. The interviewer only asked very open questions. And the way the questions were worded suggests that he had studied his subject(s) in some detail beforehand. This is a topic about which I know a little - but on these few minutes I learned quite a bit.
