This is exactly how it feels when you found the person you truly admire, the person you knew you would risk to tear down all of your fortresses just to let them in. But then, you realized, you can't love them the way you wanted to, the way they need it too. You're lost, in your own chaotic world, you can't just be lost with two different reasons. So no matter how much you wanted to freeze the time to be with them, reality hits you hard. You need to let go, for the both of you. It'll be nice to meet them again under different circumstances. Wherein you can love them the loudest.

niki's lyricism, imagery, storytelling and her music seeps of nostalgia to me. it's like peaking into your box of polaroids, letters, and memories from a happier time. or listening to a close friend's stories of her experiences or reading a diary entry from years ago. she puts so much detail in each scenes in her songs that it's such a honor to see such intimate memories from her. the whole album truly encapsulates what niki's music is to alot of us and how much she improved as a musician. truly a wonderful album from niki once again!

I don't know who needs to hear this but sometimes-- you have to give your "Anaheim" a chance. I did and when I finally healed, I fell for them because I was able to appreciate them for who they are instead of yearning for something that destroyed me. Best decision I ever made.

This is my favorite pre-niki song, the lyric change really shook me😭

this song has been making me let go of my ex-girlfriend. my ex and i dated for 14 months, we’ve always dreamed of our future lives and planned everything, our kids names, our house, our occupation, and our lifestyle. she was perfect in every way. we had our differences though that led to a mutual breakup. it hurts so much but this song has been making me feel sad in a good way, a way we’re if i let go, i’ll be okay and i’ll know she’ll be okay, also to remind her that i’ll be okay. she also lives in anaheim and has taken us to many different places that remind me too much of us, im not sure if i can ever go back to anaheim, unless we get back together but i just wanna grieve before we get back together tho. when niki says in her song that she probably won’t even remember the routes of anaheim because she’s lost but not in “him” i can relate so much, i’ll always remember anaheim as home. thank u niki for this song.
