NIKE VOMERO 17 REVIEW - THE BEST NIKE TRAINER IN 2023? - PEGASUS ALTERNATIVE? - EDDBUD
An initial review of the new NIKE VOMERO 17, a possible long run or daily use model which has been long overdue an update.
We have a new cushlon 3.0 material and some zoomx too for extra comfort. A lot of rubber on the outsole and a plush upper.
Where does this shoe fit in the nike running shoe selection? Is it a good update on the vomero 16?
This is a shoe that i have bought with my own cash.

I'm excited. Great to see the Vomero returning to the Pegasus-style. I absolutely loved the Vomero 14, which for me was what I would like the Pegasus to be. It was a better fit for me, and overall a really fun shoe, capable of doing almost everything from intervals to longer long runs. The Vomero 15 was terrible and I had to look elsewhere, but the 17 makes me want to try the Vomero for another spin.

As someone who's used to the Pegasus - this was a no go for me (returned mine). I had Peg 35 and 39 is my current shoe.... but the Vomero was too cushiony for me. The cushion in the heel felt not only too much, but also seem to give the opposite effect of "bouncy" and rather made my put more effort into every stride. Which kinda makes sense when I think about it... as it's like your feet are running on cushion it would make it harder to do. Anyways, I decided to keep my money balance in the store and wait for the Pegasus 41.

Nike seems to be incapable of producing a daily trainer that does not weigh as much as an army boot. Sorry Nike, I have moved on. Will continue to purchase your racing shoes but that is it.

About 2 ounces more than the Saucony Triumph. Do a head to head between them. I was a long time wearer of the Vomero but the 16 finished that. A real brick. Running is supposed to be fun not a chore and every run in the 16 was a sentence.
