Agree on the recognition! Not sure you can be with Nike and called underrated, though? Nike doesn't take chances or support up and comers, only what will make money.

It’s ’brand exclusivity’… there are many many smaller skating companies that support the rising skaters… but Nike serves their brand imaging more than skating in general, it’s just the nature of the beast

They pay some well deserving skateboarders and make great shoes. You need them to start a program for unproven minors to be groomed for top performance and give shoes away? Is there a percentage you’re looking for?

@@skulleagletartat I absolutely agree with what you said. But every dollar skateboarders spend outside the industry is multiples of that lost within. Just like recently when they dropped most of the team, if Nike isn't making multiples on their shoes, they'll drop the whole program. Whereas if you spent the money with core brands, or even new brands, that will 'die' before they stop supporting skateboarding, those companies would have the money to pay the skaters more. They can't give what they don't have. Most people are always thinking that one person or one decision can't make a difference. But if everyone who thought that way had the courage of their convictions, the numbers (and the money!) would be there.
