When I skated I used etnies. I don't skate today but I absolutely see your point Nike are killing it. I use just for streetwear but understand why they would be good. This is something different need these too. I'm amassing purple sb boxes atm.

@@stalwartzero7001 Dude the 90s/2000s reissues from both companies have better impact protection than anything else in the industry. The primary function of that era of skate shoes was durability and impact protection.

This is probably the best show nike sb has put out in YEARS in my opinion. This model is incredible

i’m so hyped on these man. i’m coming at it from a sneakerhead’s perspective. bought multiple pairs of ishod 1s because it was so sick how he figured out hoe to mesh his first love (basketball and their sneakers) and his current love, skating + their sneakers. you can see references to jordan 5’s + air darwins in the first pair. the TWOS??! they killed it. leaning into the air max DNA like the air max 97 but, has a little bit of the pippen 3 too. this is just a really gorgeous + well constructed shoe. pulling up on my skate shop the day they drop!

Loved the first model cuz I have narrow feet, but I like the looks of these more with the air max bubble. Really looking forward to trying them out

Drop in midsoles are always good since the featured cushioning isn't bottom loaded i.e. buried under few mm of foam or sitting in a pure rubber cupsole with nothing else. Air max I feel is better for a SB setup over the zoom bag SB insoles, the current SB zoom ones are rock hard and super thin anyways. The last time Nike did really good SB zoom cushioning was in the P-Rod signature shoes where they were top loaded or embedded right in the insole, there was also a good one where it had the ball zoom unit and the heel unit.

I haven’t been excited for a Nike shoe in many a years (not even the J4SB cause reselling) I’m gonna own every pair I can to be honest. Such a dope vibe for a shoe that we kinda haven’t had in a while

oh word? has that leaked? I might have seen that. it's like... cream and blue... or something. all canvas. I kinda like the all canvas. but I dont really see that vibe in this shoe too much

I plan on getting a pair, the first ishods were really narrow so you explaining they feel wider is great

still extremely excited about the new NB 440 dropping but this is right up there on the list this year

So glad to hear the fit is less narrow than the last ishod. I loved the look of those but could absolutely not wear them cause of the fit

Man, I love these and I'm here for the rebirth of Janoskis too... Gonna be another great year for SBs

Dang I couldn’t wait for these to come out since I was saw Ishod and Koston skating them a bit ago, and that’s good news that you are saying it seems to be a bit wider on the toe, that was my issue with the first shoe. Also I thought it was a Zoom bag but kinda pumped it’s an Air Bag. Definitely pumped to get these on feet and on board, awesome review David! 💙

i think i would prefer a zoom bag, i dont know about your experience with air bubbles but I never got much responsive bounce from them relative to the zoom units. I also feel they're a bit too stiff to really help with impact protection but i guess we'll see when i pick it up

@@snyder3710 I would agree about the Zoom Bag but I’m really interested to see how the Air Bag performs with everything you’ve mentioned, that’s why I’m super pumped to try something new, but also I know P-Rod 1s and stuff had the zoom bag internally but I wasn’t around to skate them so I’m not so sure how that performed, but regardless I’m interested to try skating in them myself and see how others do in them as well

I remember years and years ago watching ishod skate a Zumiez best foot forward and thinking "wow this dude is amazing" he took first and I think he was flow for Emerica at the time skating some Bryan Herman 2's? Look where he's at now. Incredible. Dude deserves it.

Man, Ishod’s been ripping forever. Reign Skate Shop was how I first found him. I loved the Herman 2. Skated two pairs back in 10th grade.

I think this shoe will be an early favorite of this year. When I first saw these, I thought Nike made themselves a Tiago 1010 or an early DC shoe Josh Kalis would've dropped in the early-to-mid 2000s. But they made it look great to skate in. And the more-true-to-size fit is music to my ears, because I was disappointed by the narrow fit of the original Ishod shoe. My heel was fine, but my toes were barely moving in the toebox, lol. I'm def going to get these, for sure.

I think the shoe takes more inspiration from ‘90s basketball shoes along with the Air Max 95 and 97. The first shoe and Bruin React were far too narrow for me.

woooooooah what a skatebaording shoe for sure getting! looks like you could ball up in that too! that 'Wair" is too fresh! i love the concept! I got the first ishod shoe and you're right, the toe box feels a bit tight so i'm definitely curious to see the airmax ishod! Should be game changing I hope

yo these look like some crazy skate shoes! I would def grab these (If I didn't have 2 spare pairs of shoes lmao). I think that these shoes would absorb impact way better compared to regular sb dunks thanks to that crazy ass midsole and insole. Now when I do to many ollies my feet start to hurt. pretty sure this wouldn't be the case with these kicks. Also, you mention 110 bucks, that's pretty great... considering Nike 've been upping their prices like crazy (sb dunks from 110 to 130 for collabs). Great review like always tho! Hope I can go skate soon cuz rain is always giving me a pain in the ass... Keep up the good work/reviews :D

These new colors are alright but. The overall the tech in this shoe is very nice a lot of great features that the previous model didn't have. Which is always good to see actual changes being done vs just aesthetic changes that don't have any performance aspects. I think once they start rolling in some good color-ways they will look pretty dope visually.

Is it me? Maybe it is. This shoe fits super good and everything you have to say about the balance of tech, the surprisingly fast break-in, the well executed references to air max (especially my fav the 95) is bang on, and I love the obsidian colourway too. I will be skating the f outa these.

Appreciate the vid as always! Sounds like they solved a few things from the 1st pair which I enjoyed. Will defo cop the reds and but I’m kinda swaying towards the navy/green now… 😅

Definitely interested in seeing other colorways. The first ishod was too narrow it’s crazy I tried a size 12 and it was perfect for my dunk 10.5 reg size.

These are craaaazy! Nike SB been going hard lately.

got me a pair and they fit true to size, I love them since they do have the impact protection for the stair sets and an amazing flick. The only gripe that I do have is the board feel on the heel side, I cant seem to feel the landing because of that air bubble, so when I try fs shuvs, varial heels and tricks involving landing heel side that is what I am trying to get used to. Other than that, it is honestly one of my favorites in a while, and much superior than Ishods first shoes.

Thank you very much for this review, but really! It may be ridiculous what I'm saying because it's just a box, but it's important to me cause my 3 fav colors are red, black and purple. So the box itself is a good point for me, and I think the red pair is just beautiful, especially when you showed me that the insoles are purple! Man.... dazzling, n' super sick!🔥The whole texture and exterior looks insanely incredible 💯. + important, I'm sure it's going to be really comfy with laces protects, that wide toe places and those bubbles, so; I'm looking forward to seeing when it will be available in Europe...who knows? it really seems like nb#, adidas , and nike are moving towards wider lasts, and i am so hyped on that.

i like the look of them. i just have no stoke for nike. i don't like when the sole is narrower at the bottom, it makes it easier to 'tip' and roll your ankle.

I always view nike as an invasive entity in skateboarding. But as they say: there is an exception to the rule: the ishod series is a modern tech i loved from 20+ years ago. Is it true to size?

Still thinking about getting the Tom Knox 600 new balances!… How would you say these compare as far as being light weight, but still very impact supporting?? The 600s really feel like a lightweight version of the Tiago 1010s which I love… But these definitely look sick.

first ishod looked great, but was impossibly narrow. got an average width foot and ishod 1 was painful to wear.

I thought this was a Nyjah Free review lol. Good on Ishod, always thought they did him dirty on his first shoe. That golf look with the mini swoosh on the front just wasn't workin. This looks like a beefed up'd Nyjah Free 2. I can see them going the Tyshawn or Foy route and releasing 30+ colorways🤣

I love the look of these, still can't decide between the two CWs, but I'd say the blue. I usually wear a 10 US for Jordan and a 10.5 for Dunk SB. Would you recommend going the same size as Jordan or Dunk SBs?

I have been getting some dunks in size 12 but typically I’m an 11.5. I’m very happy in my 11.5 ishods. They fit better than dunks for me but feet are always very different.

Do they fit like Janoski or like nyjahs?

Look cool. I personally like narrow having thin af feet. Tell me something David. The orange label iso blazers is the Leather decent quality. I assume its ok as my Mason silvas are quite nice, not that they are iso. Just thought I'd ask before buying. Appreciate you. 👊🏼

The green and purple pair is the better looking of the two. But they both look pretty cool. I'd rather have the green/purple in my rotation though.

These are nice but I wish the outsole had more of an athletic air max running shoe aesthetic like the DC Lynx OG, DC Kalis Lite, or C1RCA AL202.

I’m not sold yet. It’s nike of course they’re going to have all the tech. I’m just waiting for future colorways of these. Like an all black upper and see throughish gum sole would go pretty hard. But that’s just me

for 110 they could give us another lace xD. decent shoes, interested to see how they feel to skate and walk around, but not gonna replace my shoes aesthetically

I liked the look of the ishod ones. Put them on my feet and instantly knew it was a no go. Something about that sole was garbage.

I love how they look… except that air unit color. On the blue and green shoe it matches perfectly but on the red pair the air unit doesn’t fit. Hope the air unit changes color on upcoming pairs
