In this video we go over the Nike KD 4 retro this year - and this “Year of the Dragon” edition is simply an amazing colorway!
The KD 4 finally makes its return 12 years after the original release. In my opinion this is a perfectly crafted colorway with every intricate detail you’d want on a retro: from the special box, dust bag, color choices all the way to the dragon wrapping around the KD logo, and a small charm symbolizing the celebration of Chinese New Year. Performance wise, these feel light and fast on feet. My pair has great traction so far with decent cushion for its age and a nice court feel. Look for more KD 4s to release this year, including the most anticipated “Galaxy” colorway on Feb.15.

used to have one, creamsicle colorway. good shoe! light and good traction. lockdown is also good with that strap.

One of my all time faves and one of the shoes that got me into the shoe game before! The KD 5 were my fave hoop shoes though!

The dragon stitching around the heel is my favorite details and the colorway is pretty sweet too. I’m torn whether I prefer the OG (blue model) or this one

I feel the same! Both are amazing, this 2.0 probably has like a more visible Chinese New Year theme in it. I’m just a happy customer with this pair lol

took an L this morning but going to pay resale for the galaxys all day
Any chance you can speak on any hot spots in the forefoot of the retro? When I played in them back in High School they were extremely narrow and caused major hotspots on my pinky toes. Will still probably attempt to cop but wanted to know your thoughts.

Hey Tommy, one question here. In matters of cushion, is there any difference between the Liren 3 and the Liren 3 V2? Comparing to other shoes like the harden vol. 7, is it in the same level?

Hey, for the Liren 3 I only have the V2 not sure sorry. Yeah same level, full-length BOOM is one of the best setups out there in my opinion.
could you compare there to the kyrie low 4s?
What would you recommend for outdoor court? And are giannis immortality 3 good for outdoor court or elevate 3? Thank you!!

I didn't like the cushioning of KD 4. It's not as comfortable but other than that It's a great shoe. I tend to switch back to my Jordan 36 about half way through my basketball sessions.
Wait so the KD 4s are the exact same shoe that was released in 2012 but a new color way? No new features?
Im a size 9.5 in the WOW All city V2's , how would you compare the sizing of these to the ACV2's?

I wish they had improved these. I want the galaxy pair but the shoe just isnt very good compared to most shoes out now. Look great though

That’s the main reason why I’m not getting the galaxy pair. Love how they look but it wouldn’t matter if they’re not comfortable to hoop in.

@@zoesh2441 Usually the Move Game Day insoles can really help - but I haven’t tried replacing them on these I think it might just be too stuffed inside for my feet…

Is the outsole durable for outdoors?
What are they doing to gum bottoms?! Older gum bottoms used to be no wipe. Now almost all gum bottoms need wipe like a translucent bottom. My sabrina 1s with gums have dead spots that are just 🧊 ⛸
