it makes me sad when i hear chris say that he's physically incapable to hoop anymore. i hope he's able to find some relief and rejuvenate his body a bit so that he can continue to do what he loves.

Honestly I feel it's more breaking the mental barrier. I am now 48 and have had both knee's scoped with major damage to both (left knee no pcl/meniscus damage, right knee all cartilage gone), and fully tore my right Achilles in 2020. Basically continued played bone on bone right knee since 2013, 2015 did the other knee. I'm now working my way back to playing again even after putting on 70lbs after the Achilles tear. Shooting couple times a week and trying to drop weight to possibly play in a tourney come August.

Two torn ACLs and 3 meniscus repairs retired me from hooping. I feel his pain and it sucks. Miss it so much.

Nope. Nike is brain dead. I had to buy the Maryland roots and paint the grey stuff black just to get a triple black. It's like every shoe is neon colors like what are we 15? Come on Nike.

I get a very 90's vibe with these ones They remind me very much of a tennis shoe I think it would fit great in the Agassi line

These are the first KD shoes that I have liked since his first signature shoe.

They do need to put zoom strobels in more models. When they started adding them to golf models it was a "take my money" situation for real. And the sign of a great shoe no matter what activity is if you get it in and immediately want to lace it up and go. For the record that color is volt

No please dont zoom strobel is a nightmare for ppl that wear personal orthotics bruh it kills my court feel and has nipples pinching my feet all the time if i dont use the original insole from the box

Heard you say something bout joint pain. I had similar issue. Started strengthen muscles connected to joints and it helped dramatically. Hope that helps. Gotta keep the dope reviews coming. I've enjoyed yall since the early days when reviews were online wit the youtube vid.

Hey Chris! Been watching your channel since the KD 7 as it was one of the first videos I watched before subscribing and to think that we now have the KD 15?!! Time flies 😳

Pg 6 traction was great indoors, not only was the shoes style great but the cushion and durability was awesome, I didn’t even have to wipe on that shoe it was great

The KD line is a heartbreaker for me. They are too slim for my feet. 😅 Awesome vid as always. 👌🏽

Same here mate,when I played in the 13s for the first few times it was so godly...then the tightness kicked in

I've been waiting for these to be on your channel. I am super excited for the 15s and I'm glad they seem like they will play well. I got the 14s and I loved it. So I'm also excited for these.

Dude I feel your pain Chris about hardly being able to play due to pain. My elbow keeps me off the basketball courts.

Excited for this! as much as I love my Kobes, my KD13 is so comfortable so I had to include it in my weekly line-up.

Insane to think about how time flies, I still vividly remember buying his second signature at Sportchek.

Also, @Chris, I obviously have no idea if you do any exercise besides playing basketball, but if you don't, it might help. Kettlebell training would be a good idea or anything functional for a start, but you would have to see if it's your thing or not. Just for the sake of being able to play more basketball, if not for just being able to move better or just as good as the years go by. I just passed the 4.0 and, although I played basketball when younger, I stopped about 7 years ago when I busted my knee. And not doing anything at all after that took things in a bad direction: back pain, etc. But I'm doing kb for about a year and a half now and feeling a lot better. It may help you too and it would be a great habit to have, moving forward. Long story short, not an advice, just food for thought. Since I'm not much of a commenter, now that I did comment, I can't go without saying that I have been watching your channel for a number of years now. Keep up the good work.

I had the KD12 and they were my faveourite basketball shoes to wear for volleyball. These KDs look promising unlike the last few and just in time since I need a new pair. Great video as always.

Nothing will beat Kobe 8s for me. Its just the perfect shoe for me. However the KD12 are damn close. That cushion alone is insane. I ordered 2 more pairs. Now I got 4 pairs

Chris hasn’t missed sizing advice more than a handful of times since 2009.

When I 1st saw these I didn't know if I liked them but as usual after the review, these look like my next pair of hoop shoes!

Never considered these until this video, sick shoes. Great video!

I got these yesterday, I feel like they're very similar to the GT Cuts. Quick question Chris, What's the difference between plastic shanks and carbon fiber shanks? this question is really bothering me, as kobe's have carbon fiber shanks which makes me think that carbon fiber shanks are better.

Functionally, not much difference. Shanks all have the same function, but some might be more restrictive than others. Carbon is more versatile. It’s thinner and lighter so can be placed along the footbed for spring-like affect. Whereas plastic is typically isolated to the midfoot.

Yo,,new subscriber here. Love the channel and your appreciation for sneakers. Started my journey back in 96 as a junior in high school. Bought the 11 Concords right off the shelf at foot action. Those were the easier days. But back to the KDs,,they give me a Nike Air Flight Max 96 Mid vibe! Still waiting on the right next KD. Only have the KD 4 in the Creamsicle and Entourage colorway and the KD 8 All-Star. Great video as always ✌️

Ordering a U.K.11 in the White/Grey colourway from abroad. (We all know from where, right Chris? 😉) I just hope they fit. Was hoping for a 11.5 but they have no stock. Can’t wait to see how they feel, loved the KD14, but these look so much nicer, the silhouette is an instant classic for me.

I like the carryover of the heal design language from the KD14.

Thank goodness they got rid of the strap! Passed on the 14s because of the strap but def trying these out once we get some more color ways!

Chris not saying you’re fat, but try cutting about 10 pounds and keep doing decently heavy leg work in the gym, and I think your joints will feel a lot better. I had a period where legs used to feel like someone had gone to work on em with a couple of sticks, then I lost some weight, and the difference was night and day. If you don’t want to take my word for it, Kobe lost a lot of weight to take the pressure of his knees so give it a shot man. I know you love to play 🙏🏼 Thanks for the reviews.

that slickness feeling you mentioned is from the xdr rubber. that extra coating they put on wears off with wear so itll be more consistent with the traction

Not true. Not every pair has the coating. It’s usually the lubricant they coat the tooling molds with as he said.

Mann.. I really hope these don’t suffocate my foot. Wearing a Size 13. Going up to 13.5 is sometimes questionable and hard to achieve. But that shoe looks like everything I need right now.

Should have put a stabilizing propolsion plate in between the zoom and cushlon in the 14 - and made it wider.

Come to think of it they do look a bit like a "SpongeBob" colorway. I bet these will be amazing for indoor hooping! My biggest gripe KD's is that they take a serious beating when you play outdoors in them- even the XDR models.

9:35 I have epic react flyknit running shoes from 2018 with holes in the rubber toe and heel area. They are the only parts of the outsole not completely destroyed.

Have you tried electrolytes after playing? We need to replenish the correct amount of salt lost in sweat. It was a major game changer for me.

Did Nike say there was react in the original press release or was that just a rumor?
