This was the golden age of football. Sad to have to let go of this era. All of these players are retired or past their prime about to retire any day now. My childhood in one video 😢

This is basically how football made you feel as a kid when you were playing with your friends. Imitating your favorite player, imagining to play in front of 80.000 people in a stadium and playing it like it was the World Cup final. I'd gladly give away 10 years of my life to feel that freedom once again.

I really can’t believe it’s almost been an entire decade since this commercial was released. So much has changed since. So many players have moved clubs, aren’t sponsored by Nike anymore, or flat out retired. We’ve lost Kobe too. Two world cups have been played since including the first ever winter World Cup. It feels like just yesterday I was watching this for the first time in absolute awe of how extraordinary it was, and yet so much has happened since. I miss this feeling so much. The world seemed so much simpler back then.
