I love this shoe...my first pair of running shows since I started running much more frequently. when I started to notice a lack of support after around 500km, I've even ventured out to try out more expensive shoes (since I run about 45-55km/week)... and I rarely use them.. I just purchased these again (the version 10 this time) because I'm fed up with wasting my money on shoes that don't feel as comfortable, and are over double the cost.

Thank you for the review.. I am planning to purchase this model but not quite sure this is best for me. I am starting to run for the first time in my life and looking for the best suitable shoes which should not harm/damage my knees or legs... so it would be great if you suggest some of the best shoes for me which might be any brand but they should serve me better... i have heard that Nike's Revolution 5 shoes have a more durable plastic insert and a more durable build ! though i have not tried them but many people say that You should go for Revolution shoes instead of Downshifter 10 or 11 .

@@adityaabnave1778 having owned both I would give the nod to the Downshifter, personally. The Revolution was great for walking around but I wasn't impressed running in them. I'm actually considering picking up a new pair of Downshifters as a less squishy option to my New Balance 1080s. But that's just me.

revolution 5 are more durable but less flexible than the downshifter , for gym and training i would prefer revolution as in gyms the shoe gets more of wear and tear , but for running only downshifter is a good option

Downshifter 10 is better is almost every aspect... Considering it's price range and the quality given... Cusion is also good compared to low quality cusioning in revolution 5 ... I checked these out today From my experience buy cheap pay more they don't last. Buy Pegasus will last much longer and support your feet better, Yes more money but I have tried many of the cheap nikes and they rip and don't last long. They also don't support your feet as well.

I normally wear a size 10 / 44 and have wide feet. Would you suggest I get a half size bigger? Thnk you.

I have flat feet and just started running so take this with a grain of salt. The Downshifter is fine for my current running. They're not noticeably comfortable but they're not uncomfortable either. I don't really think about them honestly. There are surely better shoes out there for running but so far the downshifter is fine for starting out.

No don't buy these of you have flat feet. Mine were extremely narrow and the midfoot is cinched so if your feet are wide your really feel it when you start running.

If I have a wider foot, would the men's version of the downshifter fit, d'you think....? Most of the womens' around here are far too narrow.

Nike sizes are kinda confusing. i bought the Metcom 2 free on size 10.. they fit right but are kinda narrow on the middle part and i have flat feet so its a pain to exercise on them for me. Then i bought the Quest Extra wide and they were.... too wide lol. I want to try with these ones but i cant test them. should go for extra wide or just normal 10s?

these are super narrow and are horrible for flat feet. The shoe is cinched by the laces right in the middle of the foot so there really is no room for wider feet.

I used these for treadmill running until I actually bought a pair of expensive running shoes for running outdoors. They're not bad for treadmill work since a treadmill is more forgiving than concrete sidewalks IMO.

I bought them recently after your review. Even in normal walking, left side of my left foot pains. I do not know whether it is because of shoes or something else.

They are very narrow shoes so they don't fit a lot of people. Maybe try the wide version

maybe you should look into a more cushioned shoe, like the winflo 7 or the react miler

They do come in a wide (well extra wide) width, which is what I got and they work fantastically.

Definitely. I bought mine for casual shoes and they feel great for just walking around. Super light (relatively speaking) as well.

Hard to say... the sole is absolutely long lasting... the upper might be what breaks down first, but I would say a few hundred kilometers of running should be possible

I don't agree at all with this review. I bought a pair and after 5 2.5 mile runs they were wearing flat in places at the tread. I took them back to the Nike Store and the lady frowned and said these aren't running shoes, honey. They get returned all the time by people who drink the running shoe kool-aid. I went back to Pegasus. They've always lasted 7 or 8 months without blowing out.
