I really like these reviews, they're pretty dope. A suggestion for a future review are the Gilbert Crockett pro from Vans, I think you're gonna like the insoles in them.

***** I don't see a lot of reviews for Vans shoes because people already know that a lot of the designs are just not as exciting to most skateboarders compared to whatever shit other companies are churning out. I love Vans shoes. I skate in Vans relatively often (probably a third or quarter of the shoes I skate), but people usually know what they're getting with Vans because the company has been around for nearly 50 years. Now a model like the Gilbert Crockett, that warrants a review. The Slip On Pro? Not so much. Same with Era Pros. They skate great, they're simple, and all you need to know about them is already on the Vans site.

Yeah, it's no shock that certain individuals turn to skateboarding because they do not like to participate in team sports, dislike the idea of having a couch, are socially awkward, etc. But how many pro skateboarders have competed in and/or participated in basketball and soccer? What about baseball, football, and other sports? It's no secret.

+Ethan C he's right, the hi's are so good. suede holds up pretty well, canvas for me ripped in a few days, i eventually put shoe goo on both canvas and suede anyways and they last a good while. ive skated like 6 or 7 pairs of the classic already

I've skated this shoe before and I'm wearing a pair now casually because I'm skating the Dorado ADV.The short story about the shoe is there more about skateability than durability.Very grippy, good boardfeel and good flick.That doesnt mean there not durable because I skated my pair for a lil over 3 months.If you need that shoe to last you at least 2 months definitely use shoe goo which is what I did sort of for my reg foot but not my switch foot which is how I now they won't last long without shoe goo.The tread on the other hand is very durable and doesn't wear down quickly.

+BlueFuse it's like a glue for skate shoes to fix holes and make them last longer look it up and you'll understand better.Pretty much very skater has used shoe goo at some point.

Back in the 90s when Airwalk was the "it" brand skate shoe, they had a version that looked almost exactly like these. I just bought a pair of these Nike's they are on sale on a couple of sites for around $50. I think they look oldskool. I dig them.

Skate Shoes will always be about personal preference. You just got to find what works for you. I like that he goes hard on the shoes for a month, but when you buy a skate shoe, odds are you will be wearing them off your board too. Fortunately, I make enough money now to have my skate shoe, casual shoe, work shoe, and gym shoes. When I was younger, my skateboard shoe was all I had and it would go through hell on a daily basis.

if anything Huf and con's (always had the toecap btw) put the toecap back on the map for skating. Nike and adidas had models with a toe cap long before Huf was even a company. The toecap shoe was huge in basketball for a long time and converse used to rule the court shoes too.
