Thank you for the great technical review as always. I haven’t got these in hand for my own review but really want to, need to try them compared to my Nike Vaporfly Next% and 4%. I’m keen to pick them up when they have a new colourway, really liked the Japan exclusive colour so more coming soon I’m sure. Keep up the great work and look forward to the next one. Stay safe.

Oh My GAD!!! Great video...always learn something new thanks to you. I’m so glad you got your hands on them...even though there was a steep price to pay. I really want to get my hands on them but no such luck thus far. The tech utilized is what intrigues me most and why I want them. I’m not a huge runner...ok, I don’t run. I “quit” after the military. LOL. That blown rubber process reminds me of what Nike used to use in some runners back in the late 90s and early 2000s...Duralon. Would you say it’s similar...if not the same-ish type of rubber/ technique used? 🤓

Have had these for 6 weeks and done a couple of runs in them. I'll copy my review from the Nike site (TL:DR - they're fast, very fast); "Great pair of running shoes. Upper - Fit is spot on with more room than the 4%. Heel is locked in and lacing keeps the top of the foot secure. The toe box has ample room and should be great on full marathon distance when your foot can swell. The Atomknit is forgiving and very breathable. Sole - Very comfortable with lots of 'bounce'. The shoes are very clunky at slow speed and don't really come to life until you get on your toes and lean forward. Once forefoot striking, they propel you forward much more noticeably than the 4% did and help reduce fatigue. The stack height & air pods make them pretty unstable when making quick changes in direction, much more so than the 4%. Issues - The right shoe started to squeak intermittently on my 1st run after about 6km. It now seems to squeak when up on the forefoot but it isn’t consistent. I’ve spoken to customer services and they have stated this shouldn’t happen and would be happy to replace them but there’s no stock, so I’ll have to wait and see if I can get another pair. Conclusion - Fastest pair of shoes I own by a long way, new materials look like they will last much longer than the 4% I have that are showing considerable wear after 190km. Can easily see myself smashing some if not all PRs in them."

Interesting, Nike has been doing more size-specific manufacturing. Like the air bubble and zoom air strobels in different shoes. That carbon plate reminds of the Jordan Brand flightplate. You think it’s to help feel more rebound in a bottom loaded zoom air? Those must feel nice. I have a pair of the turbo Pegasus and can only imagine what full Zoom X feels like!

Honestly they should make it exclusive to Nike Run Club users in the beginning, while stocks are low. They don't have to be fast or very active, but they should have some realistic runs logged. They gave some NRC users exclusive access (which I was lucky to get), but the bulk of them were unfortunately eaten up.

Hi, newbie to your channel and appreciate the technical aspects of your review. I noticed you weigh both shoes, at what weight variation absolute difference or % difference would you consider it a major concern? I have 2 sets of Hoka Bondi 6 green and blue, the blue weighs 11.32 ounces (321.1g) while the green weighs 11.71(332.9) these are the same shoes but different colors. Even more concerning is a difference of about 10g between the L and R green version.

I am so pleased to see an expert review this shoe from a technical standpoint: impressive to understand how they push the envelope with so many new technologies. I want to try it...but I am not going to pay resale on this - so i guess I play the waiting game. But have to wonder if the durability of the ZoomX (which I guess is just what Nike calls PeBAX) is really that bad in all situations. I have had my Pegasus Turbos for around 600km as a casual shoe, and recently tried a new pair to compare to my old ones: I could barely discern any difference in cushioning or rebound: its a hybrid of React and ZoomX, but my old pair still felt pretty much the same as the new one. As a casual shoe, I don't put too much impact force on it, I don't weight that much and I live in a fairly moderate climate zone. Maybe ZoomX is durable for moderate use but has a very limited life if you push it hard?
