Honestly my first impressions of these years ago were that they were ugly, jarring, and way too bold. Now they're one of my favorite shoes in my collections. Crazy how opinions change over time.

Man.... this is why I watch you guys... you bringing back memories... These ones... we were poor af, my mom raised 3kids on her own and we couldn’t afford these kind of heat but I remember to this day coming home talking about a shoe with “AIR” written on the side and I was like “mom!!!! I saw this shoe, 😳😱 they’re straight 🔥🔥🔥” but I couldn’t name them 😆😆 (no internet back then 😭) Still on my top 3 to this day, alongside the jordan 13’s Chicago and the FILA Bubbles! (Wich I have similar stories as well! 🤣🤣) Fortunately, now, we’re in a different position and I can afford them and the best part? My mom gets them too!! And she flexes more than I do!! 🤣♥️ love you mom!

I remember watching Scottie play in these and being able to clearly see “AIR” on his feet! It was brilliant marketing and design synergy.

The first time I saw these back in '96 was from across campus. I thought they were Adidas. As I walked closer I started to make out the letters... WOW 🔥 👟 to this day 💯

Love these shoes. Pippen low key one of the GOAT lines but noone ever talks about it. Retro them ALL!

I recently copped these, too! I balled out in them when I was in grade school and had to get a fresh pair! Sneaker nostalgia at its best for me!!

First pair of basketball shoes I bought with my own money. Had my first full time job after graduating high school. Had a poster of Scottie in my room with these on feet. Bought them, hopped in them, rocked them, and wore them into the ground. So happy to see the release of the release knocking the resale value down 🙌🏼‼️ I gotta cop these for sure!!!

They are grails for me. I saw them as a kid in 95’ in Germany and bought them a few years ago along with the aqua pair. Fire shoes. Glad you share the same sentiment.

Always have a special place in my heart! Used to own 4 pairs but now left with the all-white. Loved my Chicago's!

I just got these too at retail and love them. So dope. I couldn't get it when I was a kid but now I can afford it and rock the nostalgia.

Classic. So glad that they released again so that I could double up. These, the triple black, the olympics and the white with red are all classics.

There are certain models and certain colourways which work so well that they literally raise each other to a different level, for example 6s in infrared. Actually 6s in black/unc blue from 2017 as well. These are exactly that as well. Something about this simple laconic black with white colourway just works so well, this colour on this model is just something else whether you saw it in 96, or see it now. An absolute must have classic in my opinion 😎

I'm glad you brought up the suggestion for a true Air Money retro! It's an instant buy if the White/Black/ Green colorway releases.

I snoozed on these when they relaunched in late 2020, until I saw a video on the channel here. I called every single footlocker in the area, and was lucky enough to find out they had one single pair my size, on the mannequin. They’re like my everyday shoe, and I love them! Think I’m gonna have to get another pair soon, because I love these so much.

Yeah I recently toned down my Jordan purchases I went back to old school Nikes I got all whites gum bottoms all white and those so comfortable it’s like putting on a big sock love em

YO, these remind of the times when i was a kid for sure, im from the UK and a friend of mine used to wear these in high school, they were mostly black so he got away with it, we used to wear uniforms and couldn't wear white sneakers. I remember just being soo envious of him an sat in class and used to stare at them lol. My fam were poor so we could afford them.

i remember everyone calling these the Pippen shoes as a kid. Shout out to the lil brother version, I never really clued into that growing up myself. I remember when everyone wanted the blue or the red pairs. I was rockin the Converse Kevin Johnson Reacts, with that green slimer gel gimmick....we were pretty lucky with the hypie bball sneakers that were coming out atm. I'll always be grateful for that late 80's/all of the 90's basketball/hip hop explosion :)

First time I saw these were from my uncle, he was the first sneaker head that I knew way back in 96. One day he wanted to show me something and he opened his closet and there was a wall of orange shoe boxes. He took an orange box out and opened it, he took this pair out.... A I R, big and loud hit my face, I was hooked and loved sneakers from that point on. RIP to my uncle and may god bless his soul 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Such a statement shoe! I remember back in 96 in Grade 9 when I first saw these at practice for my high school team. Someone from the girls team also had a pair and at shoot around she asked if anyone knew what they were called and of course the whole team knew them right away.

Favourite shoe of all time. Had them many moons ago when they first dropped. Keep trying for them everytime they retro but can't. Joy's of living in Ireland.

These are 🔥 🔥 I missed the last time they dropped and had to cop a pair of blk/volt ones. They didn't cut the mustard. Was very happy to get the new version! Top 10 all time for me.

I'm 41 now, and these are still one of my favorites.

I remember back in 97 my father got me the Olympic colorway with the 8 those were my favorite kicks then

These are 1 of the most iconic shoes for me growing up. I love the all white colorway but they turn yellow faster than any shoe i ever had 😭

Besides Pippen I remember C. Webb wearing these as well. At the time these were probably head to head with Jordan’s as the most popular sneakers being worn. All-Time Classic sneaker for sure.

It is January the 27th, but my wife already bought me these Air More Uptempos for Valentines today! I can't believe I have this OG color! :) Pippen vs Kemp in the 96 finals was soooooo fun to watch!

Alot people rocked these when i was in High School I had the Olympic pair and these Black and White pair I remember seeing Kevin Nash wear these Nike Air More Uptempo 96 Black and White Shoes in WCW a few Times in The NWO in 1996 and in 97 and few other guys in WCW wore these too even Eric Bischoff rocked them a few times in WCW the shoes bring back alot of Memories from the Mid 90's

I need to get me a pair. I have never owned the original colorway of the Air More Uptempo, outside of the Olympic pair. They ARE fresh as hell...even today!!! Doom Patrol is the best....super weird , super quirky and trippy!!! Very on brand with the comics. Brandan Fraser is fantastic in that role!! My fave is Crazy Jane. 🤓🤣

I actually had the Air More Money Uptempos as well. I love the design, but they are too bulky for me... and I LOVE retros. Definatly a Big Man Shoe. GREAT REVIEW

My first pair of Jordan’s ever was a pair called the air Jordan courtside 23 the black colorway with the speckled mid sole and white piping I loved those , can’t get them now but this color blocking on the uptempo took me back to those memories might need to grab me a pair

Those are dope. I purchased mine from Finish line at end of 2020, but man memories . In 96 I was getting out of High School and my mom took me sneaker shopping after the graduation ceremony and talk me out those Uptempo and the Jordan IE for some Olympic grant hills. 🤦‍♂️

I picked these up recently from goat, not only comfortable but they go hard as hell

I wore these in 96 in middle school and have two pair of different colorways and are still theeeee most comfortable shoe I have ever worn

I remember Reggie Miller wearing the Much Uptempos. I had the white and gray colorway but always loved the Olympics.

This, with the Reebok Blast amd Shaqnosis, were the coolest non-Jordan sneakers back in highschool.

I swear bro watching you two at the end of every video put a huge smile on my face, it's just you guys can totally genuine see that you guys are best friends and I absolutely love it and to have sneakers involved as well I mean come on bro. Anyways yeah this was the key very first two I ever bought with my own money back in 96 that summer right after the Bulls won a championship. I never was able to pick up any of the other Retros until 2016 when they dropped and I went through the size and they are a little roomy I almost picked up the new ones but like you said what is the point these are fine! The jewelled Nike on the back on the 2016 pair is slightly yellow. Where I did notice significant yellowing is on the air unit middle side.

These shoes were on so many feet when I was in 5th and 6th grade. More popular in my school than any Jordans.
