These were never originally an air max when they were released, they were called ‘Nike Air 180’. It was only once they were retroed that they began calling them ‘Air Max 180’s’. These are so slept on it almost criminal, I old enough to remember when these originally released and I have to say I was amazed by them back them and they are still a favourite of mine now despite the reduced air bubble size. The one negative about them is the fact they are a dust magnet so if you really like them I suggest doubling up especially if they hit the sales rack like they have done in the past

As I am 42 years old, I still remember when they came out. I had a pair of Air Max 180, but they never felt quite the same. (In fact they were bit different)

I remember trying these on in 1991, and thinking they were the most comfortable shoe, I've ever tried on sadly in 2018 comfortability wouldn't exist because of a different 180 air unit that's as hard a concrete.

These and the Jordan “grapes” are my earliest fresh kicks 🦵I begged my mom for these and she reluctantly got me laced up 😂 These were pretty rare back in the day especially at my middle school 🏫. I loved the shit out of these and cleaned 🧼 them nightly with a toothbrush. Very hard to keep these clean but they really were one of my favorite sneakers 👟 ever. I’m probably gonna get a pair of these reissues to fill the void in my life since my old pair crapped out in ‘93 😁 (They were probably size 6.5 anyway) I just recently bought some grape 🍇 J’s to channel the younger me and these would be great for that too. Much love

Look fantastic on! I’ve wanted a pair for ages but they’re scarcely available in the ultramarine. Plus, I’d need to get two pair!

I actually went .5 size down, going from my regular 9 to 8.5 in these. I find them narrow and long. 8.5 is quite snug for my wide feet but I still have enough room in toe box

Nick Wright I wouldn’t say these are durable. Some air maxes are depending on model and the materials used.

I thought these looked great.. until I saw them in person and realized that they don't have a leather upper. It's like a suede material and it attracts everything! You can literally get the shoe dirty just by holding it is there's anything on your hand. I can't imagine these would stay clean longer than 5 days.

Coming back to this vid just to mention, after expand my 180 collection I feel Nike did this release and the rest of 2018 180 releases dirty. The quality of my 2006 and 2013 pairs are much better in build quality.

Nicest sports shoe ever made 👌🏻

What surprised me the most about these are how comfortable they are. Comfort-wise I found the 180>93

Can’t speak for the ones you’re taking about but I can say that my pair of ultramarine bubbles held up very very well. It’s very odd I admit. They are still in the box and no ☁️ . Same with the menthol 93 I bought same time👀. Two pairs of 95s less than 5 months old have cloudiness already (they don’t come with clouds when delivered)…go figure

I'm a 10.5 in both AM97 and Vapormax and got 10.5 in these. I'd say 9 would be a better fit for you though.

I feel it most in the air max 270 and vapor max however the vapourmax dosint feel very stable so I'd go with the 270

i feel like this shoe would give me banana boat feet lol.

Beautiful shoe but the upper isn’t Suede it’s Felt. The felt being a dirt magnet and hard to keep in good condition put me off coppin these.

Nice video but you can't consider a shoe thats been re-issued 5 times in the past 15 years as "lost in the shuffle". No ones forgotten about these EVER. Also, not sure how you included these in the lineage of the Air Max line but left out the BW which was in fact the true Air Max 91

Relative to AM1, AM90 and AM95 these aren't often held in that same regard. Just from my experience at least. You rarely see retro colourways stocked at your local Footlocker whereas you'll see the other models constantly being retroed. Could be different where you are?

As someone that's been collecting and in this "scene" since the 90's I can tell you this is not a shoe that is slept on ESPECIALLY not in this colorway. For years people were begging Nike to bring back the 180 but there was some hesitation due to a lawsuit back in the 90's with AVIA regarding their Cantilever technology. The reason we don't see as many releases as shoes like the AM1 the 90 or 95 is because frankly from a design standpoint they don't pop nearly as much as those shoes but if you look back at these in relation to the most popular color ways of the shoes you mentioned (the white red AM1, infrared 90) the 180's in this color way released almost as many times as the infrared 90's if not more times than the flagship color way of the air max 1

These retros they keep bringing out are nothing like the originals, the air unit are tiny compared to the original 180s from 91-92, same goes for the air max 90 and air max 93, even the shape has changed, no more forefoot air which used be in all nike air shoes back in the 90's, i miss the old air units i feel robbed when i purchase a pair of air maxs these days, why nike why change something that worked and made your brand????? nike air conned more like!!!

Hi bro! Désolé mais tu ne peux pas porter les air max 180 avec ce jeans !! Ça ne match pas. Il faut les mettre avec des joggings serrés au niveau des chevilles, avec des cargos également et short.
