To anyone interested, this version of "Modul 36" is the one of their last album "Awase". Another version is featured as the opener on their second album "Stoa". A totally different vibe, still evolving from the same motif.

Ronin was the best concert I've ever seen, and I've seen A TON of shows!

Rhythmic and very imaginative music. A relentless beat drives us through different interesting musical sections. Somewhere between minimal and jazz, I agree, but elements of rock are also present.

Qué maravilla , un baterista que mantiene el beat contundente y preciso sin inmutarse , un bajista que por fortuna Bartsch ingresó a su equipo , el sax como siempre con varias sonoridades funkeras ; qué talento composicional de Bartch que a base de disonancias y experimentos nos ofrece un minimalismo de altísima calidad , sin esos aspavientos velocistas neuróticos y repetitivos de Chick Corea o Hiromi Huehara , Qué frescura escuchar estas ideas y aportaciones de Nick Bartsch , delicioso de principio a fin , y conforme va concluyendo la pieza van entrando en un estado de éxtasis con ritmo caliente ; ritmos cruzados , piano contrapunteado ríspido y percusivo, todo envuelto en una atmósfera mística de ragas y atonalidades de lujo. Bravo Nick !! por permitirnos descubrir que en el jazz funk no todo está concluido .

Какое чудо, барабанщик, который, не вздрагивая, поддерживает сильный и точный ритм, басист, который, к счастью, присоединился к его команде, саксофон, как всегда, с различными звуками фанкера; какой композиционный талант Барча, основанный на диссонансах и экспериментах, предлагает нам минимализм высочайшего качества, без этой невротической и повторяющейся спринтерской суеты Чика Кориа или Хироми Уехары, какая свежесть слушать эти идеи и вклады Ника Барча, восхитительно от начала до конца и по мере завершения пьесы они входят в состояние экстаза с горячим ритмом; кроссоверные ритмы, острые и ударные контрапункты фортепиано - все окутано мистической атмосферой раг и роскошной атональности. Браво, Ник !! за то, что позволили нам обнаружить, что в джаз-фанке еще не все кончено.

Das Stück klingt mit den vorgegebenen Linien wie ein sanftes Mahavishnu Orchestra, aber das gab es schon vor knapp 50 Jahren. Warum gibt es keine neuen Ideen mehr? Trotzdem gut....
