    To get called by the AJ you have to have an observable lvl 10 tilt prism. That was something. I’m basically never making this call unless the player is a manic/tiled and rich enough to not care about the amount of $ being bet. Nic fits that criteria.

  • @glennhagstedt
    @glennhagstedt Жыл бұрын

    The first hand is brutal and i understand Niks frustration, its what happens when you have to big of an ego, you believe your opponent is not capable of making this call, i've done this countless times, i underestimate other people. And when people makes the call you start to believe you are getting cheated or something is off, in reality you are just tilted and everyone is taking advantage of it. Life is weird in that way, sometimes you are in spots you cant really figure out while other can, and other times you have figured something out while someone else hasnt. Its all about levels and depth man.

    @@Brazz27 thank you! I guess its something you learn as you get older, in my 20s i thought i was the best at everything, but know as im in my 30s ive realized im not the smartest guy in most rooms im in. To my understanding thats a problem alot of people have, they believe they are the smartest person in any gathering, which is mostly wrong for most people. The context of the hands is more relevant than their hands or the board. It's worth mentioning that Rampage successfully bluffed Nik early in the session and then Nik wanted to get revenge by outplaying him in a pot. The rest of the table, particularly Rampage, Stanley and Bill adjusted to this and were prepared to call him lighter than normal.

    No they were CHEATING, the only way Airball can lose is if the other players are cheating. Around the 7:00 minute mark you can see Stanley look to the bottom left of the screen, and what's at the bottom left of the screen in the video? The whole cards! He was looking at the whole cards and cheating that's why they could outplay Airball.

    Rob. Totally agree with your advice “don’t do this LOL”. I’m not sure the range analysis of Nick is appropriate though. He’s a maniac on tilt. He’s vpipping huge (hence he is 3! Hands like T4o). It’s not that he shouldn’t have a 9 in his range, he does. It’s that he has SUCH a wide range and SO many bluffs that he is continuing with a range that cannot have enough value hands for Rampage to ever not call with TP. Esp TPTK. Nick’s overbet on the turn seems more emboldened by him picking up a gutter than targeting Rampage’s range. But it should have folded any stubborn pairs, AK etc. So the river bet is total spew as almost nothing in Rampage’s range that called turn is folding now for that price except maybe a couple combos of TT and JJ. Oh and I don’t know how Nick is doing overall but from the streams I’ve seen he seems to have been on a heater. If he cools off for any length of time it could be interesting.

    Great channel and play evaluations. I am still trying to figure out what pattern Nick saw in the previous episode where he wanted to call with 22. Must have been some betting pattern or tell he noticed because he was really wanting to call with 22. Not saying it is a spot you should be in, especially that deep, but I think that missing that call is what really set Nick off.

    His line on the first hand doesn’t make sense. He could have a set or a straight draw. But you wouldn’t overbet your sets on the turn when a potential straight comes in. And if you have a straight, you don’t bomb the river when the board pairs.

    I watched a hand of Nik's where he overbet shove bluffed the first hand of the night and won, it works until it doesn't and when people work it out you're betting a lot to win a little. Nik has been running good lately, this night he just seemed to bluff every time he didn't hit an out on the river. Anyway I guess he's great for content creators but you can only be super aggressive for so long before your luck runs out.

    I have so many thoughts but I'll confine myself to 3: 1. Airball's play makes me think that mindless aggression is probably really effective, most of the time. If Airball were getting stacked over & over, I doubt he'd be playing this way. 2. It is strange however that even after getting snapped off with Ace high (different hand, not in this video), Airball can't read the tea leaves 3. I find myself wondering if Airball's effectiveness comes mostly from being willing to stack off with anything, for such insane amounts of money that many players overfold. It would be interesting to see a long run graph of Airball's earnings.
