I agree 100%. Sadly I just found out about them recently. And I actually went through every version of this song, classic to rock to pop etc. and I keep coming back to this video. This version is probably the most mesmerizing music I have ever heard. They did an amazing job. Just AMAZING! Too bad time has caught up w them (and I). But this video will be forever the testament of their true talent.

Dirty Hands TARJA is a better overall front women though Floor is more versatile there is no denying Tarja is a unique and ever present. I started listening to Nightwish knowing only Floor. Until I started discovering old Nightwish with TARJA. And to be fair this song is a perfect match for her.

KZread introduced me to nightwish after I watched the Gary Moore classic “over the hills and far away”. Then I was blown away by the nightwish cover.... no regrets.

The reason I like Tarja more than Jansen is not because I think she's better, it's because I like the mix of classical and rock style that Nightwish had. Jansen fits more in a rock genre, but Tarja was more classical and I love it

Everyone can talk about Tarja’s vocals (which are absolutely splendid, by the way) But Marco steals the show for me. To have that sort of range, that tone, and that guttural and gross growl whenever he hits the “theeerreee.” Plus his performance natural voice are both just so beautiful. Definitely underrated.

New nightwish fan. This is the one that found me. And it's the greatest version of phantom ever recorded hands down. Stunning. Absolutely stunning. And I'm sad knowing that Marco and Tarja are both gone. But what a piece of magic! Whole band effort of course. Magic.

Nah man. This was their last show together with her. She agreed to do one last tour and album. This and the album "Once" were the result.

Your right about the fact she agreed to do one more album and tour with them. However, that was to have been the next album and tour, which would have been Imaginerium. The guys tricked her in a very nasty way. She gave them what would have amounted to 2 years advance notice she wished to leave. She also kept it private so the media wouldn't make a big deal about it. Meanwhile they plotted behind her back to fire her ahead of time by surprise and with a nasty "open letter" posted on the internet after this show. That's how she was fired, in a letter on the internet for the whole world to read. And in that letter they said nasty things about her and her husband to try and turn the fans against her. They even made her husbands race an issue because he was latino. In the letter tuomas condemn her for mixing "love and cultural differences". It was a very nasty affair and that wasn't the end of it. They even went so far as to get a PR writer form their record company to write a trashy tell all book and then released an entirely different album with their next singer title "Dark Passion Play" which was about and exploited all the drama they generated by firing her in this way. Why did they do this? They were insecure about the future of the band without her and felt the need to poison the minds of the fans against her to ensure they would remain loyal to the band and it also helped to sell a lot of album for them. That's the reason "Dark Passion Play" is still to this day their best selling album ever. It came at her expense. Asda Adsa is right. In this video she had no clue what they were about to do immediate at the end of this performance. She had idea they were going to stab her in the back, but they certainly did because they had been planning it all behind her back for the last 6 months.

Stefan L Kinda bittersweet too since she thought the album they were going to make would have been Imaginaerum, because ironically in my opinion Imaginaerum was still a solid album, although I thought Once was their best.

To sing this song you must have a Soprano voice and of course opera singer skills. This song doesn't belongs to NIGHTWISH, it's their cover from the original composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber in 1986 for the Broadway show of the same name. you can find the original on youtube as well.

@@whatttevveerrr5566 Dude... Who just Said Soprano? look these Sopranos that you Mentioned are just using some Head voice and Soprano techniques.. they Dont Have the God Damn Chest Voice. Like Tarja has everything and Switch Head to Chest and Chest to Head like Effortless! That;s why i Say they Can't Hit the Tarja Notes! BTW Tarja has some Kind of Unique Dark Voice and most of the Top Tier Sopranos have Light Voice, Which is Another Evidance that Tarja is in Another Level.

I guess most people doesn´t realize the amazingness od Marko´s vocals here!!
