53 year old American hard rock veteran. Was mortified to admit I never so much as heard of this band until a couple months ago.....until I started scrolling through comments and quickly realized there are legions who can say the same. Then I thought to myself "Why the angst? Instead revel in the fact that at 53 you've discovered one of the great bands of the past quarter century and as such have their whole catalog still to immerse yourself in!" Very fresh and exciting experience, which I can always use at my age!

I whole heartedly agree. Over the last couple of months I have been binge watching videos and listening to all the Nightwish music I can find. I love Tarja, Annette was okay. But Floor, oh my God she's absolutely amazing in her abilities as a vocalist. Nightwish and Floor are a match made in Valhalla.

My 25 year old co-worker had never heard of Floor or Nightwish until about 10 minutes ago when I told him to watch this video. His jaw has been on the floor (no pun indented) and he's been in stunned silence. I do believe the NW Army just gained a new member.

It was GLS from this concert which ‘got me’. Anyone never being aware of Nightwish who , on being shown Wacken 13 , remains immune to the Valkyrie Goddess and her brothers must be immune to life itself.

Once on a warm summer night in Germany ... some girl from the Netherlands, a band from Finland and 100.000 German metalheads did magic.

The drummer is a beast 💪

This music makes me wanna live one day longer, to hear it again tomorrow.

Just found this. Tarja had a unique voice - Annette had a nice voice - Floor seems to fill the shoes of both of them and more! Jukka is one of the hardest working drummers I have seen. Hope he is soon back.

Jukka is the best drummer I have ever seen, and I have seen hundreds. It has been a long time since you said this and much has changed. Now Marko has left also. What I wish is that once a year the original lineup of Nightwish Wacken 2013 come together and try to reproduce the magic of Wacken 2013.

Thank God this is recorded!!! This is the best concert I have ever seen!!! This is absolutely amazing!!! This band at this moment in time was like a perfectly built high performance machine. The drummer is amazing!!! The band is like a freight train barreling down the tracks at full speed!!! After watching this it gives the feeling as if you just had sex.

From 0:36 wow Floor is owning the stage with her headbanging and then NAILS the song, including switching to operatic voice at 3:37 like it's nothing. Incredible.

My friend Ray sent me this because he’s a big fan of her singing and now I see why. She is incredible. Pure melody. And an incredible job at that.

It's so hard to believe this concert was 10 years ago. It still feels like yesterday that this video was posted on KZread...it wasn't the first time I'd heard Floor, but it was the first time I heard her with Nightwish. Those first few lyrics of the song came out of her mouth, and I just knew this band had just been reborn.

I also find it hard to belive that this was 10 years ago - I was there and atleast for us, it was a hughe surprise that Floor became the new vocalist.

This girls is simply STUNNING in everything, talent, looks and personality. Nightwish were never as great as they are with her.

I just discovered Nightwish and they are absolutely great. Story time I just can’t get enough of. I love this song. I have listened to many other of their songs and I am not disappointed. Great band. Floor has a fantastic voice and the musicianship of this band is just fantastic.

Also listen to Phantom of Opera live with Tarja. You will end the debate of who is the best vocal in night wish. It's not Tarja, not anette neither floor. Its MARCO 🤣

Well power means a lot becouse anettes voice was just too weak for metal music , sometimes it looked like they must lower music becouse of her voice , with Floor they sound better, i mean she have powerfull voice which fit metal well

@@peterbell3199 I only ran across them myself a couple of years ago . I’ve never been really huge into metal but the talent of this band changed that. Their impact is so strong that they didn’t just draw me to the band but drew me closer to an entire genre. They would put on a halftime show for the ages.

I've always really liked both Tarja and Anette and that isn't changing. That being said, I'm blown away by Floor's power, range, and versatility. It would be interesting if Nightwish released new studio recordings of their hits and classics with Floor on vocals. They've redone songs before, like Sleeping Sun ... maybe some future album bonus tracks at least?

2 or 3 years ago would agree. Floor is to my opinion better than Tarja. But without Jukka and Marco the Band is not the same. And the last CD is incredible bad to me. There is not eveb one song I like. I could break out it tears seeing what happens with Nightwish😞

Everytime watch a show I am at the edge of my seat. She is the queen of metal, and the band is exceptional! I wish the original night wish in this video would buck it up and get back together. Their music is just too good, they are so synced up🤗

Jukka’s drumming before Floor hits her operatic notes……. It’s one of the greatest music moments. And I’m saying this as a diehard fan of Tool, Led Zeppelin, Supertramp and Pink Floyd. Is he the most skilled drummer, probably not. Is he one of the best to support all the other technical aspects of his band? Yes, one of the best ever! And just a great stage performer!

Yes! totally. That moment is so good. The whole drumming in this song is perfection. Like you said, is he the best drummer? maybe not, but sure he is one of the most joyful, energetic ones. He definitely was a visual with his performing style.

I'll take that power and grit over the previous two singers any day. I can't wait to hear the whole DVD.

Of all the concerts Nightwish has done, this will always be THE concert. When anyone speaks about Nightwish in concert, this is the one they will be talking about.

I discovered this bank about 6 years ago and I've been a fan ever since, the band is fabulous and Floor, her voice is so beautiful. I would give anything to be able to see them in concert , I'm 70, so I don't have that many years left. I give a big hat's off to the behind the scenes crew, the work that must have to go on to set up break down when their touring ( on their way to Washington state)

That was fantastic. I listened to the Annette version as well and realized that her voice is multiplied during the chorus but Floor sings it without enhancement. Round goes to Floor!

***** symphonic or not its still metal. I usually listen to heavier stuff (death, trash, power...) but sometimes even nightwish. I still think Anette was a big downgrade to the band. I stopped to listen to Nightwish because of her Pop singing with zero epickness. Then i saw this concert on YT and i was impressed with floor. Its a good come back for NW. Soon nobody will remember Anette was in NW because she was so bad.

+David Knutsen If you think Anette's Storytime is better than Floor's you definitely were in the oven too long. Floor is also the only singer they've had who can really perform live. She's an entertainer. Annette's studio work was fine, but she was very weak live. Won't even get into Tarja .....
