There were some years where he was pretty sloppy, he was very good in the early years. He's always been a good writer, especially solo's in BFT and Nightwish.

she has never tried to sound or imitate tarja and that is exactly what I like most about Floor 😉🤘🙌❤️

Credit where credit is due. But from what I have heard this is the worst song so far. Floor singing is a bit lipstick on a pig. I can respect the whole bands performance at Devil and the deep dark ocean. But here the composer took a break.

@@ArsRegnandi actually finally hearing this one she did great. The only bit that was a little ee was doing the very end note twice and a little too much on trail on the end of it. I think it was mostly from being a little short of breath. Saying it's like lipstick on a pig just showed you're a complete fucking idiot though. Congrats.

DPP, Imaginearum and EFMB may be loved more by others, but, those just don't do it for me anymore. Growing up and being older do change taste and preferences. With regard to singing techniques and music genres, I like and prefer to listen to singers outside the rock and metal genres too (blues, jazz, soul, gospel etc) including and especially from decades past for their distinctive techniques and unique artistry. There's lots of other singers, bands and genres to like, love and appreciate from Japan to the US besides Floor, Nightwish and symphonic metal. My best to you.

I still remember when in the year 2004 or 2005, KZread in the related videos, the song Monolith of Doubt of the band After Forever appeared. I remember being impressed by Floor Jansen's voice and from that moment on becoming a fan of the band and her. When Tarja left Nightwish I thought how beautiful it would be for Floor to sing in Nightwish, 7 years later that dream came true

The Greatest Band On Earth. Period.

Yeah I love how Floor doesn't copy what Tarja did she adds her own style to the song and this is one of my favorites as well.

Slaying The Dreamer always been one of my favorite Nightwish song, with Tarja or Floor I still loved it 👍

I can remember seeing this live on the tour in Birmingham UK, and that figure on the screen swinging that burning thing around... That was such a striking visual, that really stuck in my head for some reason. I just remember being in the moment thinking "woh, that looks so damn badass!!". It's cool that they chose to bring out the heaviest two songs they have on the tour to promote the DVD.

Saw Nightwish twice once in London Ont and once in Toronto.One of the most incredible bands on the planet!!!!

Floor is the master of interpretation of lyrics and brings it so damn well! It hurts my full body in a positive way of course. She doesn't sing a song, she embody the songs. And that's all beside her incredible vocal abilities. Just saying!

I love how Nightwish always invokes their old themes in their live shows! Those pendulums swinging on the green screen in the background make me proud to have it as a tattoo. Dark Passion Play is the greatest album EVER recorded.

One of my favorite songs from Nightwish. Great Song. Great Special Effects. Great Guitars. Great Crowd. Great singing. Great band. I would be remiss if I didn't say Great Outfit Floor.

This is basically the ultimate and definitive version of the song. I applaud Tuomas for saying that they didn't re-record the songs for the Decades albums 'cause the original songs are those and there's no need to rewrite history, but a part of me would love a studio version of these songs with Floor! well, we're getting at least the live versions...

In my opinion this is the only song that they should not have included in the decades tour. The singing of floor is fine but as soon as the harmony part between Marco and Floor starts, it becomes a mess! This together with the way better guitar solo leads me to prefering the end of an era version. Do not forget that Marco's singing on this song has not gotten better in the past 14 years, even the true heroes get more difficulty with performing some vocal parts like this one.

It's amazing to see how Tuomas and Emppu are the last former band members remaining since 25 years, but still and regardless of the many line-up changes, Nightwish never fails to amaze.

This should have 2.97M likes!

Floor has always been a great vocalist and she settled into Nightwish really quickly, singing their songs flawlessly after just a few months with them. But what I have noticed, is that she has become more and more expressive, bringing that exaggerated musical theatre acting to her performances - which obviously with Nightwish behind her, is the perfect combination. Cant wait for this darn virus thing to be past us and get to see what they come up with for their next live show - i have a feeling it will be something special

Dear Floor, now that you have totally mastered the old Nightwish songs,thus "conquering the darkest places" & healing the old wounds of the band ,we expect the next & most epic chapter in the history of Nightwish,with you on vocals ,to be released in 2020. What a fantastic group of people, coming together to make such an awesome sound and this is what a Goddess looks and sounds like

The thing is with Floor they can play all their work, and Tuomas can write whatever he feels like writing knowing he has a performer who can work miracles and sing the near impossible!

"Did you ever listen to what we play..." this song immediately makes me think of Bye Bye Beautiful. Tuomas is literally talking through his songs...The Poet And The Pedulum or Master Passion Greed are later add-ons which also take that same line.

I'm counting the days until new album, huge shoes to fill after Endless Forms, that is the best album I've ever heard by any band ever. But after hearing 'Noise' which is Nightwish typical brilliance, it's looking like business as usual and I can't wait. This year is going to be like 2015 all over again, waiting for new album, (which my son bought me for fathers day) then off down to Wembley in December from Northumberland to see you guys. That was the first time I'd seen the band live and I was utterly gob smacked, what a night! I seen you again in 2018 at Wembley, four weeks after seeing Within Temptation in Manchester, so a very enjoyable few weeks indeed. Floor, a lot of people praise your singing and your live performances, I would just like to add to that and say thank you to you and the band for the sheer brilliance that is Nightwish. See you December 18th, I can't wait! Oh and my son Ethan is coming, 14 year old and first rock gig ever, what a band to start him off on his metal career. He loves you guys.

In End of and Era, there's also Wishmaster, Kinslayer, the Siren, Blood Mary's Creek, Planet Hell, Sleeping Sun, Phantom of the Opera etc. A Nightwish fan would not consider this song as THE hightlight of that concert.

@@godoflemmings17 Yep. You are right. It is Tuomas' choice too what songs to do for the Decades tour with agreement of his bandmates and record company/management. I just wish they had played "Beauty of the Beast" or "Crownless" or "The Riddler", songs never on official live DVDs/BluRays. :)

If someone has never listened to Nightwish he will decide that this is the original. I want to say that Floor does a great job with new and old songs. It deserves a lot of respect. She turns Anette & Tarja's songs into her own like water into wine. What can not be said about Tarja who will not even be able to empty a glass of water if she takes up the performance of material from the last two albums. Floor is really amazing versatile rock/metal singer with a powerful voice of 3 octaves, and catchy nice timbre which goes well with Marco. She is also an gorgeous frontwoman - artistic (1:00), brutal, charismatic - which is also important. She has been in the band for six whole years, and when the new album comes out we can safely say that Nightwish without Floor is not Nightwish.
