@@ChrisPage68 No she still is the siren. No one sings like she does and therefore certain songs only really sound as good as they should when she sings them. Having said that, some songs sound better when Floor sings them.

Not hair flips, but since Floor is Dutch, we call them windmills. FYI, every single song from this legendary Wacken 2013 concert is a full-on gem. You could start with the opener, "Dark Chest of Wonders".

The up and the down side of the guitarist's (Empuu) playing is that he plays what is needed. Sometimes a solo sometimes very little spotlight at all. Sometimes you wish you could see him more but you know the song doesn't need it. However, watch the band enough and you realise how awesome that characteristic is. And the the whole band has the same 'modesty' which makes all this majesty possible. There is a song for everyone to shine in there. You will find it eventually.

You've finally met the Queen! Arguably the most powerful female voice in the world. From opera to hard metal and everything in between, you're just scratching the surface of what she's capable of - such as her jaw-dropping 4-5 octave range like you just heard at the end here in Romanticide. And the whole band is simply incredible. Subbed for more Nightwish! Live is best - from Wacken 2013 which has ultra hi-quality recording: 1) Storytime, 2) Ghost Love Score, 3) EverDream, 3) Ghost River, 4) Song of Myself - and all the rest from the same energetic concert is incredible. There are even great operatic vids of her like Phantom of the Opera and so so much more. Anything by Floor Jansen and Nightwish is amazing. :) Glad you've finally discovered Nightwish.

Now, now lets not fight over who liked it the most? I would seem that you both enjoyed this song very much. I love and respect Taja's operatic vocal ability, But I too am a big fan of the Dutch queen of symphonic metal, Floor Jansen. She gives Nightwish a much more metal edge to their music and live performance. The opener for this Wacken 2013 show would another great reaction video for you two. "Dark Chest of Wonders" is a little more operatic. It is song originally sung by Tarja, the 1st singer and will let you hear how Floor approaches this older song. Great job with this one. Peace.

I have seen Kiss, Sabbath, Ozzy, Megadeth (my other favorite group besides Nightwish), ACDC, Queensryche, the list continues with about another 25 or so bands. Nightwish was the most impressive live mainly due to Floor's vocals. Honestly keep going with Nightwish/Floor. Maybe do Ghost River Waken 2013 to hear more Floor/Marko harmonizing.

since you guys dug this one, you need to check out Yours Is An Empty Hope (official live clip). It's a harder track with a great guitar riff, you get to hear Marco and Floor... and you get an added bonus too... the Floor growl!

Floor Jansen is my favourite singer. Nightwish is my favourite band. I love them. Wacken 2013 is one of the best concerts you can watch. It's so good. I recommend Song of Myself or Storytime from it. Then Ghost Love Score if you want a long one. She is perfection in it.

In After Forever, ReVamp, Ayreon, Nightwish and solo as well. Shes 6 foo 1 inch tall. Nightwish sings everything from musicals to folk to power metal to straight symphonic metal.

Other heavys are Devil and the deep dark ocean, yours is an empty hope and if you want something that makes most metal bands lightweight Master Passion Greed (never performed live, Marco on vocals) If you like Epic you are covered as well, Ghost Love Score (defined the word Floogasm for the goosebumps you get when Floor sings), Poet and the Pendulum needs some background research first to get the backstory and Greatest Show on Earth... 24 minutes of epic song about the evolution of Earth. But pretty much anything Floor sings is pure perfection and when her voice is combined with one of the best composers and lyricist in metal today you get Nightwish.

I would suggest you's check out the entire show from Wacken 2013 and then move on the the more current material. They are so on point and in sync with each other that it's very hard to tell the difference between 2013 performances and 2020 performances. They really have a noticeable, stable sound that is only Nightwish. I've been fortunate enough to see them live on four occasions and let me say the sound and experience is unlike any other. If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it! Any don't worry, there is already talk of rescheduling the world tour that was canceled so hang in there everyone. Nightwish is coming!

Anything from Wacken 2013. Keep in mind, Nightwish is one of the few band that do better live than in the studio. Studio is great, but Live is just......another level.

Marco and Floor are perfection pretty much live! There harmonies are definitely a big part of the Nightwish magic. Personally I think Emppu is the heart of their live performances, he keeps it light for the band anytime he isn't playing and any time he has the focus he switches into serious mode and plays exactly what is needed for the song and no more :D

Welcome to your second stop of a now probably long, surprising always awesome Nightwish journey. This band is from Finland. Tuomas is the keyboarder, Songwriter, composer. Marco is playing the bass and doing also the vocals. He is very versatile and an awesome singer as well. You might watch „The Islander“ from Tampere to experience this or Nightwishs cover of „High Hopes“ by Pink Floyd. Emppu is playing the guitar. He can shred it but he always does exactly that much, that is required by the song. Kai (also Wintersun) is now at the drums and replaced the original drummer Jukka (whom you saw here) who had stop playing the drums due to health issues. But he still is with the band. Julka was a perfect drummer and showman, Kai is a perfect drummer and a machine and beast at the drums. Then there is Troy, a multi instrumentalist from England who in older performances supported the band at some tracks but became luckily a full member of the band after this tour. He‘s a great singer as well. Last but not least there is Floor, the Dutch singer. She is the bands third singer after Tarja (operatic) and Annett from Sweden (pop/rock). She can sing really everything from opera over pop/ rock to growls. When her hair is swirling, it‘s called the (Dutch) windmill. This gig was at Wacken. Wacken is THE metal festival worldwide. Nightwish were one of the headliners in 2013. It is in the north of Germany in a rural area. Therefore the bullhead with flames is the Wacken symbol. There are more than 80.000 metalheads having a big party each year. Here are some suggestions for your next stops: -> Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013): THE "traditional first song" to get into Nightwish. Floor is showing diferent capabilities and you can get a first understanding of Tuomas capability of songwriting -> There are only great songs from Wacken: „Story Time“ and "Ever Dream" are catchy in a very positive way. "Song of Myself" starts catchy and ends with everyone headbanging. "Romanticide"which you just watched, "Last Ride of the Day" and "Ghostriver" are the heavier ones. -> "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" (Buenos Aires) will give you a metal and power blast: Maximum speed and Marco (the singing bass player) becomes Hannibal Lecter ;-) -> "Yours an Empty Hope" from Wembley (have a good look!! at the growls. You'll be surprised.) -> „Dead Boys Poem“ from Buenos Aires (so amazing and emotional) -> „Weak Fantasy“ (Tampere): Kai the beastat the drums, Troy joins in, great duets with Floor and Marco, … -> Elvenjig / Elvenpath (Buenos Aires): Awesome intro and it continues on that level -> "The greatest Show on Earth" (Tampere) is one of the two most epic songs. The title is not about the gig, but about the topic of the song: The evolution of mankind. -> "The Poet and the Pendulum“ (Wembley) is my personal absolute masterpiece of Nightwish. Be sure to know the background of this song ahead (short version see below *) ***** From the new album there are for obvious reasons no live sessions so far. For all songs there are lyric videos, except for „Noise". But maybe you'll give some songs a try as well. It's an awesome album. Definitely not an "easy" one with a lot of really unique songs, different from what is "typical" for Nightwish. Floor said that she was really challenged to sing the songs that Tuomas wrote for her. Knowing her abilities, you can imagine that they are "special“. It‘s a good idea to hear the album in the given order, but nevertheless here are some of my options to some of the songs. -->"Noise" is probably the most "typical" song and the only one with "real video". The video is great as the song itself --> "Tribal" is the heaviest one and Kai, the drummer, had to change his normal setup to be able to play it. --> "Shoemaker" (about Eugene Shoemaker) is such a heavenly and epic song with the possible epic ending. -> „Pan“ is just an amazing ride. When it starts you for a moment think you‘re listening to Floors husbands band „Sabaton“. In the song you‘ll be reminded to „Tribal“ and „Noise“. -> Procession“ a rather calm song with so amazing vocals by Floor --> "Harvest" is so different with Troy singing, that you will wonder if you're listening to Nightwish. -> „Endlessness“ is Marcos song and shows his great voice. --> "Music", „How's the Heart", ... are really cool songs as well. Of course. The album challenged Floor as singer, which is not easy to do, as she is one of the best and most versatile singers in the world. ***** If you'd like to Explore Floor on her own: Beste Zangers Just in case (which I can really recommend) you're going to do "Beste Zangers" make sure you take the clips posted by "jenniezelf" on KZread as she has also included the talking / interviews before and after with english subtitles. The concept of the show is, that on one day all singers sing a song for one of them. It's a song that is by that singer or a song that means a lot for him / her. So it is very interesting to get to know the story behind each song. And it will help to understand the reactions of the other singers. Floor is singing there in German, Dutch, Spanis and English. Her "Phanom of the Opera" duet with Henk Poort is legendary. ***** * Backstory for „Poet and the Pendulum“ Tuomas (the keyboarder and songwriter) was in depression after the split from their first singer Tarja. He was in the position to either commit suicide in real real life or to write a song about it and die within that song. Luckily he choose the latter option. He is the poet, "killed" by the pendulum. And afterwards there is darkness, silence and just a fading heartbeat. It gives me a shiver every time. As this song is so emotional for him all the others have an eye on him. I know this is controversial to some people but Nightwish became Nightwish when Floor joined the band, they just instantly clicked for me to the point that when I watch a video with one of the other singers it just sounds off lol.

Love your chemistry and love how real you are. No KZread personalities. You're fun without being over the top. It's great. To hear Floor really go metal I suggest Yours Is An Empty Hope from Wembley. The cruise version is great, and I believe she goes a little deeper during the chorus, but you can actually see and hear(in my opinion) her much better in the Wembley version during the chorus. I also find the mix in the Wembley one a bit better. Take care, guys!

This song is like a huge energy blast. And Floor's and Marko's power duet at the end is phenomenal. I don't particularly like scoring - too many variables (time, place, mood etc.) Otherwise good reaction. Greetings from Finland!

@@MatandChelsReact FYI, Floor and Marko first sang together when they guested with Delain (a fantastic Dutch Metal band you also need to hear) in around 2009 on the track "A Day For Ghosts". If you see it, you can see the chemistry with Marko was already evident.

I was totally alive in the 80s.... but recent Nightwish fan!

Nobody can changed my mind on the fact that the lead guitarist for Nightwish is Pauly Shore!! Great vid guys! Should check out Yours Is An Empty Hope to hear Floor do some metal growls and definitely check out Ghost Love Score to hear her awesome operatic vocals as well. She is a Beast!!

Stay with the Wacken 2013 show try Song of Myself, Ever Dream, Story Time etc it's all excellent. 10 out of 10 got to be. Floor really just joined the band officially at that time. Floor is a 10 for sure.

But I notice a lot of people are doing them all wrong, to me. They embrace Floor as she should be, she is what is best for Nightwish because she is so versatile. What frustrates me, is the amount of people throwing in requests for Floor. So many people in the "Nightwish Army", or whatever, ignore Anette and Tarja, and all the work they put into the studio albums. Not everyone, but enough... too many to be comfortable with. If I was to say anything to people, to the people doing reactions, it is to be original. You don't have to listen to everyone and be the performing... whatever... in the circus. You don't have to be. There is over 100 songs in Nightwish's library, and so much studio work that goes unnoticed that it's almost infuriating. Tarja, Anette, Floor, Live, Studio... it's all their history, Tuomas's work, Marko's work - everyone in that band. Do more of the studio work while you do the live Floor stuff. Wise words from Ann ! I am new on Nightwish, and yes i am here because of Floor. But i NEVER gave a dislike to a reactor for reacting to Tarja or Anette. To all who cant say that too, please think it over !
