An excellent interview! Marco is well-spoken and thoughtfull in his responses. I actually learned a thing or two here without having to endure any of the soap opera crud. Tuomas' interviews, quite frankly, are weird; he says he doesn't want to say stuff, then alludes to what he wants fans to figure out, yaddayaddayadda, etc.

I wasn't a big fan of Tarja but it kinda makes me sad that the guys haven't had any contact with her for years. I know things ended badly between them but I thought they'd still be friends and check up on each other every now and then.

It was also on that exact day that Anette missed the gig because she had to go to the hospital and Elize Ryd and Alissa White-Gluz filled in for her.

It means that Anette, as well as many other singers sort of sing through their nose, as to close up their air passages in their throat, and let some of the vocal sounds come through their nose. I personally did not like Anette in the slightest way, but I'm just telling you what a nasal vocal technique is.

How do you think about Nightwish 5 years later?

Marco is a very good bass player hes like the geddy lee of hard metal..and anette olzen is a great singer in her own right. Shes alot more "pop" then the others. I think tarja was so very good and shes the opera queen..shes in her own class !..then there is floor...and lets face it if all there ever was is floor...the fans couldnt complain..shes just awesome and shes really talented and shes having so much fun on stage with the band ya just gotta luv her ! Nothing in life remains the same for long..ya just gotta roll with it and accept who and what ya get. Folks arent buying records and going to concerts like they used to....but nightwish is doin pretty good these days...ya ever SEE their recorded live shows? Their fans are gaga for em.

I grew up with Metal but I was finished with metal not interested in new bands. Until I heard NIGHTWISH in 2011. Nightwish is amazing!!!
