I am 74 years old and drove 8 hours to New York City for their second concert in the USA in a long time. Had not been to a concert in 19 years. The Nightwish crowd was fantastic! Friendly, polite, and fun. The concert was sooooo good. You must plan to go to a Nightwish concert as soon as you can. You two will talk about it for the rest of your lives. Hope to still be around for their next American tour. Please continue on this great adventure that is Nightwish!! We all love your reactions!

@@randymarple9830 true ! We live in the Netherlands now for work, so on June 17th there is the double header. Floor solo and Nightwish at the same day on Pinkpop festival. The day will be closed by Metallica. I just hope for warm weather the rest will be awesome 🤘🏽

Well, you did hear Storytime, too, but you still only have heard 30-40% of Floor's voice capabilities. That said, Nightwish is a unit, no prima donna here, everyone in the band has his/her time tio shine. They are all top notch, very humble and love what they are doing and their audience.

The very best song ever written, and the best performance ever. It indeed is a masterpiece. Eternal importance!!

I love the sheer joy that comes from both of you. This happens all the time to most NW fans and it never diminishes no matter how many times you watch their performances. Wonderful compositions with so many intracacies and translated into what you see on stage. There are so many recommendations that you can become confused and overpowered by them all. Best advice is to stick to Gabriel's list and after listening to 20+ songs go your own way. Looking forward to the next reaction with great anticipation and thanks.

You were definitely born to listen to NW😉. They are touring in Europe this year, so you may have a possibility to listen to them live. NW "army" has a "general", Gabriel, from Romania, he usually comes and tells you about the history of NW and gives recommendations what to listen to next. I would recommend Storytime, Song of myself and Ghost River from this concert, Last Ride of the Day from Masters of Rock, I wish I had an Angel Argentinan tour to begin with..

Hello and thank you for reacting to my favourite band, i stopped listening to radiostations many,many years ago, everything just for the quick money makers. A few years ago somebody suggested to me to listen to Floor Jansen en Henk Poort, singing the phantom of the opera on a dutch tv show and that she sings in a symphonic metalband called Nightwish, i listened to the phantom, was blown away and started listening to Nightwish. I regonized your reaction ( the emotion) and i actually cried because i didn't know what was happening to me. the first song for me was Ghost Love Score and after that there was no way back, for the very first time in my life i was a fan from a band, i think i was 61 years old . Nightwish is a very nice group of people who love what they are doing. So thanks again and see you at the next one, greetings from the Netherlands.

This was the 13th song on a 15 song set , Storytime was the 6th song of the set , so massive shout out for the stamina and respect to the drummer he is awesome . Ive bought the CD of this concert , and what do say about Floor Jansen i would say the best female vocalist ive heard and im 60 and been seriously into music since 1976 . It is really hard to wrap your head around the complexity & perfection of Floor Jansen as a singer. That is why many of us call her our Queen Valkyrie Goddess of Metal. Truly she can sing any genre though. Coupled with the genius & talent of all of Nightwish, it's an incredible thing. So much wonderful Nightwish music ahead. Maybe Everdream next :) You should also check out Floors youtube channel for some great covers she did during lockdown, and all her performances on the 2019 Dutch TV show Beste Zangers - so Good! *Do blur the video on those as the TV show started blocking after they noticed many watching :) Floor also has just released a side solo project with 2 songs out now; Fire & Storm. :)

I want as many people as possible to see, hear..... experience this unbelievable song and epic epic performance. Took some time...8 years!! to reach me and the song is almost 20 years old. If she hadn't be my compatriot and hadn't participated in Beste Zangers i would have missed it completely and some other great songs too like poet and the pendulum which is their other masterpiece. Next best thing, dim the lights, use a big screen and a good audioset to enjoy it even more. Beste Zangers, Shallow, Phantom of the opera and so on,you won't believe what you see and hear. It's a recommendation and you won't be dissapointed by her incredible vocal skills. Phantom of the opera,Shallow and some other song enhanced.

Great reaction. Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a spinto soprano with a range of around four octaves. Floor joined her first band (After Forever) at the very young age of 16. She also attended the Rock Academie in the Netherlands and studied opera and musical theater after that. Floor has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several Master vocal coaches (She is also a certified Master vocal coach). Floor can sing in multiple languages, styles and genres. She often refers to herself as a vocal nerd. This Valkyrie goddess is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to Nightwish. The Band hired her in 2012 as a temporary replacement for their previous vocalist Anette Olson (2nd vocalist hired after the original Tarja) to finish out the North American tour. In 2013 Nightwish officially announced that Floor and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Troy Donockley are now permanent members of the band. Welcome to the Nightwish rabbit hole. This version of the song is amazing & it's one of my favorites, but the 3 songs you have listened to are just the beginning of your wonderful journey with Nightwish. This video was from 2013 & Floor has continued to practice every day to improve her skills & as hard as it may be for you to imagine she is even better now. I recommend their new songs, their old songs with their former singers Tarja & Annette. I also highly recommend Floor's solo songs in fact she just released a new song on Friday.

Dear Mrs. and Mr. MerchantOfAlba, this was a joy to watch. In differing parts you facial expressions went from "Yah, sure" to "Quite entertaining, no fault in this" to "Pretty remarkable" (just my interpretation of watching two faces, my take on it, nothing more). The song is one of the Nightwish perennials, appearing on their setlist perpetually. And Floor has really made this song what it is today, her interpretation is now the gold standard. And I mean who could fault her for doing that, that's what she feels within and that's what she sings.

Now you have had 2 experiences listening to the Dutch Valkyrie Queen of symphonic metal, Floor Jansen. Floor has gone through operatic and musical theater training as well as developed a Master Class as a vocal coach. She refers to herself as a vocal technique nerd. Always bringing different colors and styles to her expressive and emotional storytelling approach to singing. Buckle up for the journey my friends. It will be a ride like no other. Nightwish music runs the gamut from heavy metal with a touch of Orchestration, to Celtic Folk/Rock. Each song brings a new experience. And this is why official live performances are best when at all possible for Nightwish. The two of you are utterly charming and genuine, a joy to watch. Really want to see you continue down the Nightwish rabbit hole. Gabriel's list is a fantastic resource, but please don't feel like you have to do them in any kind of order, or need to wait until you're "ready" for any particular song--just listen to whatever catches your interest, and know that there are no wrong choices.

Her vocals are amazing, aren't they? And still you haven't seen/heard it all, there is more to come. Despite the fact that she joined Nightwish in 2012 amidst the US leg of their world tour (there is a documentary about it on YT called "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours"), she found the time to record the aria "O mio babbino caro" from Puccini's opera "Gianni Schicci" for a Dutch tv show. And while she might not be or become one of the greatest opera sopranos of all times (which she doesn't intend to) she did a very good job, which made me appreciate and adore her enormous talent and skills even more than I already did. So, I highly recommend you to watch this performance of hers either on your channel or on your own. It's beautiful, especially as she is introduced to the audience as Nightwish's lead singer with short videos from their concerts and I guess the expectations were not really high.

Great genuine reaction. For a lot of people at Wacken this was the first time they had heard the new singer. Floor had only recently been made a 'full member' (along with Troy). I am sure part of the massive roar when she hits the final note is partly due to a lot of Nightwish fans realising that their favourite band is in safe hands.
