Thanks for putting this up! This is my favorite nightwish song and my guitar playing has been improving recently. So to be able to play along to this and have the Wacken recording playing from the video was so cool for me. Thanks again!

Thank you sir. It helps so much to be able to see what is actually being played. You show an amazing amount of restraint being able to NOT add any mini leads/riffs/accents, suspended, so on so on. I find myself just wanting to add so many squeals, runs, adds, and cries. Very hard not to try. Well Done.

Hi, good morning, would you be so kind to enlight me regarding this song key? It does not feel like regular Dm, specially in the solo where you have the major 6th (B) and also the resting on 2nd major (E) at the ending. Do I have to face it like D dorian? Any tips? Thanks!

It is hard to say the key of the song, it changes several times, for example, it begins with a normal Dm in bar 24, but then it modulates to Fm in bar 33. Then goes to Bbm. The solo is in Cm, and so on... So I wouldn't say you should think in an specific key, is better to feel the song 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸

So, since this song constantly changes tome signature, is there a simple way to count it that you use?

Hi. THB, when I first learned the song I did it totally by ear and therefore I didn't know the meters on song (actually I wrote the tabs after recording the video and there are some errors that are corrected in the tabs 😅😅😅). For example, the first part I just knew how it was, but I didn't even know that it was 6/8 and then 5/8 etc. What I mean is that is easier not to count and just to feel. Yes, of course after writing the tabs is easier to follow and count, in that case all the parts of the song that are in X/8 I'll just count the eights and the parts on X/4 just count the quarters. Sorry for the long answer, but it was quite a nice question 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
