I really wish that this song and Planet Hell were included in the Showtime, Storytime DVD. We really need professional recordings of Floor's renditions!

I can't force myself to like this one. It lost a lot of its playfulness without Anette. I dislike most of Anette's lives, but this one she definitely owned.

This gig is nuts I love it. Proves once more that NW is much more than a simple symphonic metal band.

Oh my God this is so awesome. This is like Anette's signature song for me, but Floor totally nailed it as well. Also immense energy from the band

This must be a really hard song to sing by Flor since it fits perfectly Annete's voice colour, but she has done it very well, I'm impressed, as always

I've always considered THIS song to be Anette's song of all the music released after she joined the band, she did a great job at making this song sound scary. Yet, wow, Floor as always blew me away. I've loved both Tarja and Anette's sounds for different reasons. I refuse to compare them because they are totally different types of singers, but Floor is the perfect mix and the absolute best fit for Nightwish as a whole.

This is one of the few songs where Anette can't be beaten, even by Floor. Not that Floor can't sing it, she can sing everything, but Anette's voice is a perfect match for this song.

First of all: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS!!! At the content: I usually love everything Floor does to Nightwish's songs, often enjoy her interpretation of older Nightwish songs MUCH more, and I also love most of what she did to this one (I second everyone saying her growl "bite me" is AWESOME) but I also agree with all the comments saying as long as Floor sings it like that (not in a bad way, but what makes her version different from Anette's) it will forever be Anette's song. I might be a little biased because I LOVE the original of Scaretale, it's my all time favourite Anette song, but also... Idk but, imo the way she sang it, which Floor didn't, matches the song's entire story so so so much better (except "bite me" growl ofc). What I love about Anette's singing style for Scaretale is how she's playing with her voice range all the time, it sounds lively and - Floor's singing sounds lively as well, but Anette's does in an entirely CRAZY way (her up-and-downs, her squeaks, all that sorta stuff) which makes it so perfect for this one...! I always liked how Floor makes every song her own with her different ways of singing Tarja/Anette songs but I wish she wouldn't have done it so much for this one because it was a bit too much imho. Tbh the absolutely PERFECT version of Scaretale would be: Floor's voice, general singing skills and growling COMBINED with Anette's craziness and squeaks.

Why they never played this song live again is beyond me... is such a tune ffs!!

Floor should re visit this song. Now that she has sung Weak Fantasy with a line “smiling teeth in a rotting head!” she can take that singing style into Scaretale. I suggest you you tube weak fantasy, the Wembley show. You will see (and hear) what I mean.

Scaretale is the song that ignited my love of nightwish and imaginaerum the 1st album of theirs that I listened to, I had never heard of them but I liked the album art work so I gave them a listen now they are probably my favorite current band. Long live nightwish floor rules.

Floor did a really good job nailing a song tailor made for Anette!

I got goosebumps while listening to this...wow. Never happened at this song with Anette, even though I love it.

This is a very unconventional Nightwish song, especially when it came to the circus sounding part. My favorite part of it though is the orchestra after the creepy carousel song. It reminded me of an orchestra at an Epica concert.

Floor Jansen sang with his own style. She will never try to imitate Tarja or Anette. Floor sang somes a different notes from what you were accustomed to hearing from the pop singer, but does not mean that she sang it wrong.

I don't know Floor sounded evil and very good for this song. Of course there were parts that Anette did better, but Floor didn't copy Anette

I'd say that Floor's voice in this, at the start, was very clode to Anette's. The theatrics were very different and as the song progressed Floor moved further away from Anette's vocal style. I'd say very good, very evil, but also with a vocal nod to her predecessor. Nothing wrong with that.

Very fascinating. Anette sounded like a Disney-witch in this song and Floor sounds like the evil queen. Love both versions surprisingly. Didn't expect Floor to perform this song well. She didn't do Storytime any justice so I didn't expect this one to be good either.

Por más intentos que hizo Floor, bastante loables y sin querer decir que Anette canta mejor que Floor, esta canción y todo el disco Imaginaerum es para Olzon, para su medida y su destaque... Esta canción esta interpretada a la perfección por Anette que le dio ese toque de bruja mala y de sueño infantil tal cual como la blancanieves negra de la película... una canción hecha para ti y que tu la interpretas perfectamente es imposible mejorarla. Todo el respeto para la reina Floor, pero con este disco y en específico con esta canción, Anette Olzon se montó entre las mejores vocalistas de metal en su momento por un disco excepcional, una mejora innegable en su voz y esta canción que a mi me parece de lo mejor de Nightwish...

Jose Luis Altuve concuerdo absolutamente, a mi no me gustaba Anette, de hecho la odiaba, por que la escuché destruir en mil pedazos las canciones que cantaba Tarja y desde ese momento dejé de seguir nightwish, hace poco encontré esta cancion por casualidad, ME ENAMORÉ, quise ver como la cantaba Anette en vivo y me enamoré mas y ahi me di cuenta que era una gran vocalista, solo que los otros temas, no eran para su voz, de hecho Tarja en vivo no canta tan bien, suena mucho mejor en discos, mientras que Anette en vivo con esta canción suena igual y mejor que en estudio..

Es verdad para mi este tema Anette lo hace mejor... pero Floor en los otros temas de Nightwish.. la aplasta humillantemente!.. la fuerza que tiene Floor es aplastante y versatil comparada con Anette..

Personally, I prefer Anette's version. This isn't bad, but... not as well as Anette's. By the way, I think that Anette is better in "I want my tears back" also. But Floor is better in "Song of myself" and "Ghost love score"... All of them: Tarja, Anette and Floor are better in some songs and worse in some songs... It's not like "she's the best forever", because Nightwish have too many different songs and this is the reason why they are not perfect in all of them. Because some songs was written for Tarja, some for Anette, some for Floor, and some for all.

Vern Faulkner floor indeed is a great singer. Its just that anettes voice fits this song perfectly. Floor is better than anette in many songs but not in this one

My opinion for this song: Studio version for Annette, live for Floor.

Songs from Imaginarium were tailor-made for Annette's voice, hence why I'll always enjoy songs from Imaginarium best when sung by Annette. Absolutely NOTHING against Floor whatsoever

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Floor's performances for anything else. I adore her in Romanticide and Ghost Love Score and all the gorgeous Tarja pieces... but definitely not for Anette pieces. In this one in spite of the potato-quality video, I can appreciate the effort put in this but honestly, there was a wonderful magic that this album possessed with Anette's voice that I don't believe Floor can hold a candle to.

Oh yes, finally. My ears are thankful. Anette's shrieking is ripping through my eardrums every time I hear it, unfortunately. :/

Don't get it .. Floor doesn't sing it the way Annette did, but still fantastic!... She gives it more aggression, and a psychotic flair that suits the song.

Canta excelente Floor Jansen, pero en definitiva está canción siempre será de Annette olzon, con esto no denosto el gran talento de Floor pero hay canciones que quedan marcadas para una voz, para mí Tarja, Annette y Floor SIEMPRE serán GranDiosas.👏👏👏

Anette was best suited to the unique vocal tones of this song, that being said I prefer Flor over all as Nightwish’s vocal weapon of choice. She does a great job on this considering she has to fight against her superior range and abilities to sing like the demented screeching witch the song is portraying.

Oh, how I love this song. Thank god the annoying original voice has been fixed in this version.

I can't fucking believe how people dare to say Floor didn't fit for this song when all they're hearing is a non-official live version with a terrible sound. I mean, REALLY?! She was way better even with this crappy sound. Whatever!

It was her 16th show she joined them just 5 or 6 weeks bevor that, so I think this concert is very impressiv given the timeline.

Floor sounds more dark then Anette. Floor tells the story. I just heard the version of Anette..Not for me, I'm sorry. Anette doesn't deliver i.m.o. The song though is fantastic!
