Thanks for the dedication, Debbie! I'm glad that my advice was useful to you 🖤 This song is part of the first album recorded with Floor, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" (2015) and was never performed live by the band until recently, as Floor said. For me, it falls into the "hidden gems" category (like "Sagan" with Floor, "The Escapist" and "Turn Loose The Mermaids" with Anette). From what I understand, the band members got emotional in the studio while recording this song for the album. Now they have given us an acoustic version, probably encouraged by the public success of "How's The Heart" often performed in the acoustic version in concerts in 2022. You should know that the studio version is also very good.

I’ll be doing the studio version too. And you’re just welcome 🥰
Being lucky enough to see Nightwish on their last tour this one was one of many magic moments that will stay long in the memory. Hats off to Troy as well.
The song is a ballad written for the band's parents. From the Endless Forms Most Beautiful album, band members wept while rehearsing and recording it. This is later in the current tour where they started playing this one. Earlier , they had been playing How's The Heart acoustic.
There's no one like Nightwish and no singer like Floor 🤘

There have been and still are a lot of amazing female singers but I can say with hesitation in my humble opinion Floor is the best I’ve ever heard! Her voice touched my soul the first time I heard her and as you ladies say about Tommy she is very easy on the eyes😊 Great reaction reaction as always!

Agree 100% Jay. Since "discovering" Nightwish and Floor a little over 12 months ago my musical world has been turned upside down and inside out. For me Nightwsh are the best live band and Floor the best vocalist that I have had the privilege and pleasure to watch and listen to. 🙏😊👍❤️
This brings me to tears again... I saw Floor performing this solo when she played a very intimite outdoor solo show last September in Hertme, the Netherlands. It was one of those magical & emotional nights you witness only a few times in a life time. My parents both passed away and I feel them so strong around me listening to this. Floor and Nightwish mean the world to me🤘❤️❤️
Someone recorded that on there phone looks like and she sounds that good, those lights show how much this band is loved, my bucket list too God bless
When Floor's voice is tuned as perfectly as Troy's guitar...
Me and my wife have seen them just a few days after that concert in Stuttgart... I still get shivers just remembering it... truly otherwordly experience...

Floor has sung this many times at her solo shows. This is first time Nightwish did it live and song from 2015 album Endless Forms. It replaced how is the heart in setlist for a few shows.
@The Question Queens: Debbie, this song is not just beautiful, because of Floor and the band, but it is also tragic in the sense that it is a reminder of our own mortality, of our own eventual end, just as it is for those who come before us. And reading about the recent passing of Tuomas' father, I can only imagine how much more this song means to him. For me, I listened to this song when my grandmothers, one blood to me, the other not, each passed away within weeks of each other a couple of years ago. And as I don't have children of my own, I can only hope that my nieces and nephews have the same kind of love for me that they would have for a parent when it becomes my time to leave this world. And as you have said in previous videos, you have two daughters. Show them this, and tell them that as your parents love you, that you love them. It is by living out lives in honor of those we care for, that those who care for us live their lives in honor of us.

Floornominal as always Debbie, and Troy, what a wonderful job he does accompanying our beloved Floor. There is magic in this world. You always do your darndest Debbie. Thank you. Paul 🙏😊👍❤️
I was there! First and only time I heard Floor live. 🫶 Warm greetings from Switzerland
A beautiful song for sure. Floor makes anything she sings sound beautiful too, so you get the double whammy here. Make that a TRIPLE whammy...beautiful song, sung with a beautiful voice by a beautiful woman! Even being a fan-cam recording, this is fantastic. Cheers!
Thank you for this lovely reaction. From their first album with Floor, Endless Forms Most Beautiful. Song had never been performed live because it made the band members too emotional. Story is that when they first tried to record her vocals, there was silence and when they checked on her she was weeping. Yes, Samantha took this song and translated it into Dutch. Floor first sang this live in her solo concert last September in Amsterdam. Best live recording of this song. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qaiC1stwlszPnag.html. In her comments on the video she mentioned that hearing Samantha perform this live inspired her to perform it live as well. I am guessing her success there inspired her to bring it to Nightwish to perform live as well.

Hi Debbie. Another terrific reaction to such a lovely live performance of this beautiful song. Such a moving experience. Floor brings out so much emotion in her voice. What an unbelievable talent. Thank you so much for this reaction.
Thanks Debbie! Since the launch of EFMB album this song has a special place in my heart. Until this tour Nightwish has not performed this song live. I’m so glad Troy and Floor made it into a small gem in the show.
The song that got me into NightWish many many years ago was Over the hills and far away. I've always loved it 😊
Uk 🇬🇧 Norfolk let’s go this is for everyone’s mother and father 😊 Far to see-through
This song (Decades In The Sun) was sung by Samantha in Beste Zangers, but the Dutch title of the song was "Ik ben altijd dicht bij jou" which is (translated to English) "I'm Always Close To You", so different interpreted/named by Samantha than the original. Btw. I also went to a Garth Brooks concert here in the Netherlands.

I just recently heard this song. It touched my memory of my parents.
This is such a great, and I think underappreciated, song from EFMB. Lovely reaction! And since you love the ocean (as do I) you may like my favourite Nightwish song Deep Silent Complete which is an ode to the ocean. The version by Floor from the Decades live album is the one I mostly listen to. As usual her voice is heavenly here. Tuomas' lyrics are genius as usual too.
Most of us here in The Netherlands speak English as well. And we’d love to see you for a visit. I’d love to actually hug you instead of the virtual ones. But only if you’re okay with it. I know hugging can be overwhelming for empaths like you.
Hi Debbie, here is a song that I think you will like, Simone from EPICA sings a song from the Little Mermaid, it's beautiful: Part of your World - The Little Mermaid (Cover by Simone Simons)
Dear Debbie, I remembr the sea of lights when I was at their concert. They didn't play this, but How's the heart. But it was a very similar vibe. Experiencing all the lights was just magic and incredible. I can only imagine how that feels from the stage. Must be overwhelming.

I was truly overwhelmed seeing it. I’d love to be there doing that.
You can find a version of this song in Floor's YT channel recorded at her solo performance in the Netherlands.
One of my favorite Nightwish ballads along with Meadows of Heaven and Eva by Annette (In studio).
Remember what she first said about using you camera lights in respect to thow's you love mother's etc. So many loving people in that audience paying support and respect to the ones they love. Such a sweet song. Also the song Strong about Floor's mother is another great song.
You can also do the floor solo version…
Thx for another fun video, such a beautiful song. And how cool that you would like to visit the Netherlands…would be great to meet you in person. And maybe you can combine the 2 visiting a Nightwish gig in the Netherlands. Xx
🇫🇮❤Just hearing the ocean is enough for me, but hearing Floor singing this song for all the parents in the world is beyond amazing. P.S. Finally managed to put a request to that special place, so please check it out.
Ohh this was in Zürich Switzerland and I was there. It was so wonderful. Thanks for reacting to it. Greetings from Basel
I Don't know what Gabriel put on his his list, but incase he didnt. Try Amaranth from Wacken '13. and FOR GODS SAKE!! pack a sandwich and a flask and get to "The Greatest Show On Earth" either Wembley '15 which has Richard Dawkins live, or Tampere which has syncronised fireworks! Wembley is my particular favourite, but the I'm British and it was my first introduction to Nightwish. There is also a reaction video on here and I think the song is "Ever Dream" which has performances by all three singers, I just can't remember who did it, but I'm sure a bit of poking around will find it. I'm typing this as you are talking about your concert going. I am as well as a lover of Rock, Blues and Metal, I am a classical musicain and I urge you to go see an orchestra. I can promise it will be an experience. Enjoy x
If you want to See the ocean of Phone Lights fromm Stage, you need Sabaton with their live Version from En livsted in krig live from Gotenburg. IT gaves you chills and the lyrics let flows your tears Trust me :-)
Hi Debbie. Thank you for this. Not bad for an audience-shot video eh? I recounted what I had told you to William and he corrected me slightly. Apparently, it was Tidal, not Spotify; and the second most frequent was 25 not 70. He hasn't seen it yet as it is nearly 11pm here and we are up at 6am, so he is in bed, but I shall forward for him to watch. I think this is a great and beautiful song. The introductory chat is very close to what Floor says when she introduces How's the Heart live, and it fits both songs well. Thanks again!

It’s definitely a big dream of mine to visits there. You’re so very kind. Thank you so much 💙
I think what happened is that Samantha sung this for Floor. That gave Floor the confidence to do it on her solo tour. Then when they needed a song to rotate with How's the Heart as a replacement for the Islander, i.e. a song that starts acoustic and then the whole band joins, this came into view. Perhaps Nemo is also in that rotation because Floor and Troy did that acoustically too, But I haven't looked at all the setlists for the current tour.
So, you love the ocean? Then, I think, you are ready for the Greatest Show on Earth, so you can learn about the Devonian sea… ;-)
Beautiful reaction again💓 Please also do the version from her solo show at AFAS Amsterdam that one is also very emotional. Kind regards from the Netherlands❤

On Troy. He got just a delicate wonderful voice that you merely hear at times, however it adds so much to the big picture. His role on last year's tour was more crucial than ever, because he had to replace Marco's vocals at least partially (yep, I know, Marco can't be replaced) and he did this really well. There is one song on the most recent album where he is the lead singer and Floor does the supporting. It a very Irish folkish song. At the beginning it doesn't sound like Nightwish and I din't like it very much .... however it was growing and growing over time and is now one of my favourite tracks on the album. You might check a version of this song which Nighwish played at their virtual concert during Covid lockdown times and where over 150.000 fans attended virtually !!! kzread.info/dash/bejne/pWiLwdR9ZLm7mKw.html&start_radio=1 All the best for you QQ Love your reactions ☘☘☘
