bost h i speak as a person who knows Nightwish since yesterday: her voice is really pop-like and actually has nothing peculiar or special, while Tarja has a soprano voice who gave to songs a special atmosphere... then it's always hard for fans to see the band changing

@@meriemc5475 you fans never do. I like her the best out of the three because she wasn't simply invited as a member. She had to fight her way into the band. Tuomas almost turned her down, but she fought back. Especially after some performances, she may have had some downfalls, but came back with a vengeance at the next one. Tarja and Floor simply had the better ranges than Anette, but they never had to carry the burden of criticisms that Anette did. You refuse to accept the change because you're so fucking bullheaded that you automatically go for the one with the better sound, which was Tarja and/or Floor. Anette was overshadowed by a lot of fans like you who refused to accept the change that Nightwish made. Give her the chance before being so quick to judge her.

I ve nothing against her or anyone else, I just said simply that we (people) don't accept change, cause that true, on so many things is hard on humans in general to let go, so for me this may be the reason people don't like her, and honestly I like Tarja more cause she was there when I heard the band's song for the first time, and I'm not saying that Tarja is the best or whatever what made you thing that I'm just a stupidass B** or bullheaded as you said, next time think twice before writing something, cause I didn't say I don't accept change but i said we don't accept change

I like most songs like this from NightWish, where the balance of the male and female singer is balanced.

I'm having trouble deciding which I like more. Both are completely different and both are very talented. They both bring a completely different sound to Nightwish. And both of those sounds are great!

I first discovered this band around 14 years old and it still makes me headband

Honestly...both singers are extremely talented, I won't doubt that. :) In the end, I love 'em both!

It was through this song that I slowly but surely started to get one of my teachers into metal back in high school >:D

rather than bashing Annette and bellyaching how you miss Tarja, enjoy the music. Annette has a great voice and vocals, and while it's true that she doesn't have the practiced voice of Tarja, she is unique in her own way, and should be given respect, not derision.

This song is written for Tarja so that she has to think about 9 years she worked with this band I always hope that Tarja could be back

I must to say that i´m a lover of metal add deathmetal, i know this its very comercial however i admit that it´s very very good, not yet i say for the girls hahaha, Nightwish is for me a awesome band, ANETTE sings fantastic it´s true, TARJA got a talent opera voice and FLOOR got energy so much

Agreed so much. He gives the songs so much more variety. Songs with both him and Anette like this one are my favorites.

I think he was trying to say this isn't a rap group. This is a rock band.

In all honesty, I find that up until the vocals, I can't tell the difference between Tarja's Nightwish and Annette's Nightwish. That just proves that the band is the same and their instrumentation is just as good. That's why they still have tons of fans.

Love this song. All of Nightwish vocalists have great voices, Tarja, Anette, Marco and Floor, but Floor seems to be the best for Nightwish.

This was shortly after Tarja split from Nightwish- as I understand it, having models that very clearly can't replace the band members was to accentuate that Tarja would never find a replacement for the band and that they'd already replaced her.

I've always wondered what is the technic behind Marco's screaming. (At "bye bye beautiful" -part) Its unique and and very powerful sounding effect. Its like high vocal rasp without falsetto on bottom...??? Iam confused :D

I think he's actually yelling, like I might if I were angry. The song is an angry, edgy one anyway, by what everyone seems to take from the lyrics. In this case, though, that also shows his vocal talent and skill; yelling within proper key. His vocal control in that case, well, he makes it seem easy! God, if I only had half that talent!

I like nightwish, before and after. They adjusted well to the singers and the amazing music and lyrics still come with it.

heres a quick recap: Tarja was fired because because she was a bit of a bitch, also his husband/agent was a dick too. Anette came after that. Sang until 2012, left from the band because of musical differences, Floor Jansen came and replaced her after that.

I quit Nightwish when Tarja went away. I never listened to anything else except for now. I started the video and I was like "WHAT!? NIGHTWISH IS NOW ONLY GIRLS!? WHAT!?" Then I was relieved, but still this is "Nightpop" wtf seriously. Next step will be.... seeing Hayley Williams singing on Nightwish? (I love Hayley btw)

Alex G In short: they just can't replace Tarja. Without her, this band is different...they have few god songs (i like this, also "when the lips are still red") but it it not the one which been loved by many. BTW - i prefer Nightwish with Tarja than Tarja alone as a single singer. Don't know but it just won't come to me as something to listen to. In fact, i don't at all.
