Personally, I love the fact that Nightwish had their Annette phase. Granted her vocals aren't as powerful or operatic as the other two, but the music coming out of DPP and Imaginaerium was mind-blowing! And Annette's vocals matched it perfectly!

Thank you! *high five* Lol. The Anette phase was needed. Don't get me wrong, I loved her and would have been content with her still here. However, seeing as she isn't, I still wouldn't have changed her time with them. Her voice carried them like a canal between the oceans Tarja and Floor. Boooooo!!! Lottie. Lol. Though I will admit, I wish they'd use Floor and bring it back this way a bit. Imaginaerum was kick- ass and I'd love to see them do that style again with Floor. Meeting them this past winter however and seeing EFMB live... gah! Still a homerun.

Ah...Anette era Nightwish. It took me a long time to get used to her different vocal style, but after I stopped trying to compare her and Tarja, I really liked how Tuomas crafted songs to fit her voice. I think she actually came into her own with Imaginareum. And I definitely love this song, because of the emotions within it. I was never into the blame game, but it's true that beauty can come from loss.

TheVixenne In fact. People didn't enjoy Anette enough because of that stupid comparison. Anette was wonderful and she made me be closer to nightwish. Tuomas is just amazing... seriously... Sadly she departed and I'm pretty sure the fans' pressure helped her to take this decision. Anyways now Floor is there and she is also amazing!

pieckoyt I'm definitely not that type of fan. Met her in 2008 at a Leaves Eyes/Kamelot show in Hollywood. She's extremely nice and appeared to be humbled over her firing. I saw noob because I first heard Fantasmic when I was in highschool 2000.

@@BassCommunion His and the rest of the bands ass you mean? The decision to excluse Tarja was unanimous. She's a great singer - both back then and now. But i think that there can be no doubt that she neglected the band and lost interest in it, wanting to promote her solo career. She had already announced that the next album with Nightwish would be her last. And then it's no surprise you risk getting kicked. From the information we have available, i actually feel more sorry for the way Anette was kicked.

​@Frenzied Unicorn Productions No she wasn't. Let me recap what happened in the last few days for you, since you apparently missed it. The band wanted to bring in a replacement singer for the US tour. This wasn't just because of her being hit by the flu, but also because she was pregnant, and likely couldn't finish the tour anyway. Anette agreed to that. Then she heard it was Floor, and she changed her mind and said "No", because she was afraid Floor would replace her (this is by her own admission btw). Okay, that's what that is. She was afraid of losing her job. That's an understandable fear. But it also puts the band in a tough situation. Then came the night where Anette was rushed to the hospital, and the band asked the audience if they wanted to have the concert anyway with the Kamelot-singers. The audience agreed, and the concert was played. Anette then heard they played the concert anyway instead of cancelling it, and decided to publicly critisise the band on her blog for that decision. That's when they decided "That's it" and fired her. Yes, there were things that led up to everything i just described here. That's all gonna be just word against word. But you're basically implying that the entire band besides her are just arseholes. Don't get me wrong, i don't think this situation was handled particularlt well by either party - and it's clear they weren't fond of one-another even leading up to the breakup. But honestly, it's rather ignorant to believe that this is all just down to "Toumas being bad at communication".

Marta Anette wasn't that great overall. She just didn't go well with the type of music at all. She was too "Pop." like listening to her sing gave Nightwishes music a pop feel to it, and to me I feel that this was the lowest time for them.

Kris Griffin Still, Dark passion play is their most sold album, along with imaginarium which might be their best album to this date. Making Anette their lead singer was a bold move, BUT the right move to make.

As a new fan and old man I might add, I absolutely love Floor, Tarja and Annette. their voices seem to compliment the music as well as make their distinctive marks with each song. I think they are HOT as hell probably because their voices are so great...I can't choose a leader.

This is the greatest rock music video that has ever been created. If not the greatest, then certainly the greatest single stationary set, fixed background video, ever.

The beginning of this sounds like the end of every Saw movie when they reveal the twist, it's awesome! Definitely makes me want to listen to more of their songs, only heard 2 songs of theirs counting this one.
