I love Tarja and I appreciate Floor. But Tarja just had the drama and sensitivity fit for these songs. Floor does great vocally and show-wise, but I don't get the emotion I get from Tarja's performance. I have huge respect for both of them.

This is so much better than End of Era one.

Scandinavian musicians are like no other when it comes to discipline playing live, little is improvised, high quality playing.

The contrast with her bombastic voice and the bombastic sound has never been so lived out within Nightwish as with Tarja. Even if Tuomas always denies it, the old things of Tarja were written for her bombastic voice. These songs can only be sung by a classically trained voice because only then it will sound perfect. My ears are spoiled and for this reason I prefer to watch the old performances of the old stuff than newer ones. Such classics from Tarja I want to hear and see only with Tarja. These songs were made for her voice. You can hear it.

@@bornready6924 I agree. Their first 3 albums were so good. I mean Once is good album but It's missing some of that magic that they had on Whismaster. You can hear something changed after Wishmaster album. Perhaps chemistry of band...?

@@ilkkak3065 certainly...first real worldwide highly exhaustive tour, ..Tarja, after many years of feeling ignored and neglected, hires a personal manager to represent her interests..surely Tuomas felt a though his authority was being chipped away .... then..boom...the onstage attack on Tarja takes place and her new manager is the one who comes to her aid while the boys (judging by the youtube clip and her testimony) seem more interested in continuing the song than seeing to her well being...her manager was quite angry at their response or should i say , lack of a response...that further aggravated Tuomas

EPIC voice, just EPIC !!!!!, Nightwish are fools that fired her.

Wow, these Century Child-era performances are the best! This was the full Nightwish power! Love it.

I think that Tarja OWNS 'Bless The Child' here. AND, she ALSO owns 'Walking in the Air' also. And I'm a newcomer to Nightwish. This is incredible.

Tarja has a deep Operatic voice, it sounds so nice when she sings this song and songs like Deep Silent Complete and the others. It doesn't sound the same with Floor at all, Floor's voice, even though she can reach high notes, is not the same deep operatic quality. It's strange how some people think that Floor's voice can replace Tarja's.

Wow, this video is 17 years old. Amazing! For me, this is Tarja’s best vocal performance of this song (that I’ve seen) it’s so sad she was sick for the End of an Era concert. She still sounds great but you can tell the subtle differences. Well, regardless, I enjoy all of them

People need to realize that only Tarja can sing the old songs and not because Floor is not good, because she is one of the best singers ever, but because when Floor sings it, it feels like someone is singing some lyrics while Tarja gave the impression of not only interpreting someone's lyrics but feeling and connecting with them like the lyrics are singing themselves. It's not about the vocal tehnique, but about the feeling which only Tarja had.

That's what I always say! That's why I think Nightwish will never be the same, not because Floor is not good because she's awesome 👌🏽 but the vibe Nightwish had with Tarja was different and special!

Tarja compone musicas con un piano que aprendió a tocar gracias a las enseñanzas de la madre de Tuomas Holopainen ( Nightwish)

Pues hay muchos rumores, dicen que no se quiso acostar con el barbudo, si fue eso, se debió sentir humillado al perder con un Argentino. El segundo, los duetos de Tarja, no le gustaba (otra vez al barbudo) que Tarja hiciera duetos, porque era Tarja, no Nigthwhis, una especie de celos. Tercer rumor, Tarja quería descansar creo que un año, y el barbudo no, él pensó que Tarja los hacía a un lado para preparar una carrera de solista, como para ver, sino la hacía sola, regresar con el grupo, él toma la decisión de apartarla del grupo; hay un video muy emotivo de Tarja.

¿El barbudo? ¿No se supone que fue Tuomas el del problema con Tarja? El barbudo es Marko y con él Tarja ya hasta tuvo un encuentro en el escenario. El de la decisión de correrla de la banda fue Tuomas, el líder. Según él que porque Tarja tenía ya actitudes de diva, pero curiosamente con esas actitudes se refiere a que Tarja se había casado y prefería viajar con su esposo en los tours. Efectivamente, parece más bien un asunto de celos y hasta de machismo, como si Tarja tuviera que haber sido propiedad exclusiva de Nightwish, como si no hubiese tenido el derecho de casarse y estar con su marido. Admiro mucho a Tuomas como artista, pero como persona se ha portado mal con las vocalistas (hay que ver también cómo dejó a Anette fuera de la banda, sólo por enfermarse a medio tour). Esperemos que haya madurado y no le haga algo parecido a Floor que, después de Tarja, es lo mejor que pudo pasarle a la banda.

Well, that's sometimes all you have. Especially if you're a foreigner and not familiar with the festivals. This performance was from the Raumanmeren juhannus 2003 festival (RMJ 2003).

Nightwish is like pipes - you need to keep them fully maintained or they will start to leak. They had a leak which made Tarja leave the band and then they try to patch the leak with Annette but it is only a temporary fix. So Tarja is like the original pipe that fits with the other pipes and Annette is like one placed by your repair man.

Floor es magnífica, me gusta ella, pero conocí a Nightwish con Tarja y ese sonido épico solo se logra con Tarja, será porque la música esta hecha para su voz y, al parecer gran parte de las letras también están inspiradas en ella...Pero veo tan difícil que vuelvan, tal vez, si algún día Tarja y Tuomas se acercan, a lo más se logrará una presentación en vivo en señal de paz, pero volver al grupo está dificil...

en realidad, ella está mucho mejor ahora. eligió excelentes y experimentados compañeros de banda y tiene la libertad de escribir su propio material, sin mencionar los arreglos escénicos y la programación de la gira, y su maravillosa voz, una gran audiencia, está bien asegurada

Tarja is one of a kind. Floor is the best of her kind. That is the difference. You will find many great singers, and Floor is the best of all of them. But you won't find another singer like Tarja ever again

Tarja Turunen super vocals music the best forever.

Tarja is the Freddie Mercury of female vocalist. Hopefully, by the Grace of God, Tarja and Nightwish will reconcile one day!

My point Freddy was the best at what he did, in Queens, "Heyday" Tarja is still to this day, the greatest female rock singer. Her stage presence, and charisma, and command of the stage, and to captivate a audience, is rivaled by none!

I don't really know if they made it unfairly or not, I don't know. I stand in doubt in what really happened. Not many things were clear.. what we do know is that carding on his side and nightwish on the other is that the two lost

@@martinezegt5433 I agree. Annette did a great job on Imaginerum. Surprisenly! Since then, you could count on one hand, the number of good songs, they've recorded. When Jukko left the band, they lost one of the greatest drummers in the world. That Troy dude is a cancer to this band. The last album studio album, had three great songs. The rest of the album was terrible. Emppu doesn't even play anymore. The newest album sounds like a "new age" nightmare. I must be honest Tarja has recorded some great songs(solo) However her band, look and play, like hired field hands. Hopefully if Rock 'n Roll history, holds true. Tarja and Nightwish, will reconcile.
